Home was as promised. Conveniently located, easy to find, clean and cozy. Owner/manager was very responsive and reached out ahead of time with contact information via text/cell. Speedy reply to the one question I had regarding the Apple TV at the home. Would gladly stay here again!
High expectations, very disappointing!
We spent hours texting & calling Home Away reps. trying to get regular TV. In the end, we only got just 1 regular TV station after someone came out & attempted to rectify the situation. The A/C unit needed to be winterized, pouring cold air out at night into the dining area (someone fixed it during our stay). The pool table was misrepresented on the website, as the table is worn out, no cue ball, 1 cue stick was usable, balls missing, on wheels & moved at the slightest touch. There was a light bulb burned out in the bathroom, there was no kleenex, scissors, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, & very little salt. The dish towels (bar mops) don't dry dishes very well, not to mention that there is no dish drain mat or decent dish washing cloths (just a useless sponge). We had to ask how to get onto the internet. Most places I've stayed provides instructions on the house rules & provides passwords for the operation of the TV & internet. One bathroom for 4 people was not too convenient, however we knew that was the case. Overall, the stay was just o.k. The response from one of the reps. was excellent, however, the other rep. failed to call us back when requested, and was not very helpful. She never apologized for the inconvenience about the TV, until we complained to the other rep. about the issue, as we didn't feel it was our responsibility to fix the problems with access & passwords. The bathroom was serviceable, the beds were comfortable, the laundry area was very convenient, & the property was clean. We think someone from Home Away needs to visit the property & check it out to see for themselves. We looked forward to staying at the property, but it was rather disappointing when we arrived. The property we stayed at thru Home Away in Moab was far superior. It was well stocked, provided all of the amenities we needed, and there was regular TV, not just access to movies & re-run TV news & other programs. There was also someone right there on site to communicate with, much, much better service.
Roomy, had all the essentials and close to Bryce Canyon.
This house was quaint and had everything we needed. It was easy to find and was close enough to Bryce to be convenient.
Quaint and clean place!
Aspen Grove was our third choice to stay for our Bryce trip. We booked this property because the other two were booked. Matthew and his team had made the whole process very easy for us. The place was clean and cute. My mother in law loved it and she's very picky. There were trash bags, paper towels, seasoning, bottle opener, etc. It was a nice touch to help make our trip more comfortable. We will definitely come back.
So happy you enjoyed your stay.
OK Rental Home
The positives - the house was nicely decorated and the beds were comfortable. There is a grill on the deck.
The negatives - The house had obviously not been used in awhile and it was dusty. It would have been nice to have someone freshen up the place before we arrived. There is not a dishwasher (is it 2017?) and all dishes had to be hand washed. All trash has to be hauled out to the landfill - which is across town. We stayed Friday - Monday and the backyard sprinklers ran from Friday to early Sunday morning, because of an irrigation schedule. We also stayed in early September and the house was warm- the air conditioner doesn't work very well, we were able to open windows in the mornings and evenings, however it was too loud with sprinklers and nearby gas station we had to shut the windows when we went to bed.
The town of Panguitch is basically closed on Sundays - grocery store and restaurants, so plan accordingly. For the area - this is a decent place to stay.
Thank you for the feedback. Guest have loved how comfortable the beds are and relaxing on the back deck is definitely a plus. There are some convenience stores and small restaurants open on Sunday. Guest like a green yard which means we have to adhere to the irrigation schedule which is a 24 hour period during the week. The water would be on an off the schedule day which in this case on Saturday. This is not constant throughout the year and depends on the seasons.
