Great fly fishing right in front of the house
Since our stay in 2013, we've been back twice (in June-July of both 2014 and 2015). We would have been there last year, too; except for a wedding. But we will be back this year and are looking forward to it. The other reviewers got it right...this is the place you are looking for. The setting, the accommodations, the management, the location, the fish, the river; well, you get the idea...
This place has it ALL.
Our family has vacationed in Montana for many years. Over the years, we've either stayed with friends or rented multiple motel rooms in Dillon. This year we decided to rent a house - and what a great idea! It's in a great location, was well-equipped, and had plenty of room for all of us. The hosts were fantastic; very accommodating! I asked if there was a crockpot, which there wasn't, but the hosts provided one for us! Oh, and fly-fishing? What better access than right out the front door to the beautiful Beaverhead for some big browns! We're already booked again for 2015!
This is my 5th year renting this great home on the Beaverhead River. The only thing better than the fishing within sight of the house is the house itself. With the recent addition of two bedrooms and another full bath, my father and I were able to introduce southwest Montana to some great friends. I've rented several houses from several Internet sites. This is the only one I've rented more than once. You will not be disappointed.
I've rented several vacation homes through VRBO and seldom been disappointed. This home is everything listed and then some. It is spacious, clean, and very well appointed with darn near every kitchen gadget you could want, 2 Satellite TVs, a bumper pool table,...well, you get the idea.....Oh, yeah...the fishing....don't believe that the Beaverhead is only a nymph/streamer river. On one day (float), my friend & I caught more that 50 LARGE Trout on Dry Flies (we had 5 doubles and lost count of the exact number of fish landed, several 20"+). Additionally, I caught several fish in front of the house (drys) up to 17" casting from the riverbank, without getting my feet wet! The house is beautiful, the fishing superb, and the friendly nearby rental agent makes any problem (we had none) easily resolved. We are already planning our return next year.
My husband and I rented this home for a long weekend. The property managers were extraordinarily nice folks and the home was perfect, everything we hoped for! We enjoyed hiking, fishing, birding and sitting next to the fire reading.
We have rented this home for a Fall Vacation for the past 3 years and have had no complaints, We would highly recommend it. The home is spacious and comfortable with beautiful views of the Beaverhead River from the bedroom and living/dining room. The two way fireplace shared by the bedroom and living room makes it very cozy when the weather turns. The kitchen is well-equipped and easy to use and there is a separate laundry room. The town of Dillon is conveniently close with restaurants, shopping and Montana University .Of course, the biggest catch is that we are in some of the best fish country in Montana
You can be as isolated as you'd like or enjoy everything available in the nearby town of Dillon. Hike, fish, hunt, or float the river right from the front lawn. Or just build a fire in the fire pit in the middle of the deck, pull the chairs around, cook yourselves up some smores, and enjoy!
All rates are for up to four people. Ask about rates for additional people. Children under 14 stay free.
