Welcome to our very large and airy apartment at almost 1100 square feet. Very beautiful hard wood floors throughout, and an ocean breeze often wafts through. The apartment is located on the second floor of a heritage walkup.
Both my girlfriend and I are into mid-century furnishing, so the place has a very funky vibe and some great pieces that we have collected over the years. In addition to a spacious bedroom, the suite has a large study/den/guest room with a nice work desk and sofa bed to lie on for a cat nap or for guests. Our dining area has a large table that can comfortably seat 6 (note, our new table is slightly different, but actually nicer than the one shown). The suite s entry way is large enough to park a smart car, or say goodbye to lots of guests. Large windows in every room let in lots of natural light. Our funky bathroom still has the original black and white tiles and a little deco tub. The bedroom is also nice and large, and contains a not too soft, not too hard, queen sized bed and danish modern dresser which we will clear out for guests use. There are three closets in the bedroom and we will vacate at least one of them for guest use as well.
All linen and towels are also provided. Laundry is coin operated in the laundry room in the basement of the building. There is no ensuite laundry, or a dishwasher.
The building itself is situated in Kits point, one of the best locations in Kitsilano,which is probably one of the best neighbourhoods to stay in Vancouver. Enjoy, a less then five minute walk to the beach, a huge outdoor swimming pool (possibly the biggest in north america, and 125 metres long!), and the bike pathways, as well as the hustle and bustle of 4th ave, which contains many great and varied eating options. There is also an excellent bus system on both 4th ave and Cornwall, which will get you just about anywhere in the city you need to. I would suggest going to (website hidden) and checking out the street view feature, to get and idea of what the area is like.
This suite would be great for a single person, or a couple who like staying close to all the amenities and like a clean, uncluttered and retro/modern styled living space, with an additional office/ guest room. We would consider a family of three as long as the child was over 8.
Also, we are non-smokers so we don t allow smoking in the apartment. And no pets please. Parking is by permit on the street. Temporary permit passes are easy to attain from city hall, a short drive away.
