The grand living room is warmly decorated with two comfortable armchairs and a large sofa. Tall windows fill this room with light, ideal for reading a book from the extensive library.
The light and airy kitchen is complete with all necessary appliances, and a wooden table to seat four - a great setting for you to whip up a home-cooked feast if you so desire...
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The master bedroom is the epitome of class, offering a welcoming king size bed (6 ft wide) - the perfect place for a good night’s rest. The second bedroom is complete with a comfortable double bed (5.5ft wide) and a working fireplace.
There is an en suite bathroom to the master bedroom with a shower cubicle and bath. A second bathroom is equipped with a shower over bath. There is also a separate (and splendidly ornate!) WC located on the lower level.
Access & Suitability
This home is particularly suitable for couples or families. The apartment is located on the first floor, with access via two flights of stairs, and the flat itself is set over two floors.
Kensington is frequently associated with the city’s best dressed and well-heeled. As such, it is no surprise that it is notable in particular for its main commercial artery, Kensington High Street, home of the Whole Foods Market flagship store and a vast selection of affordable brand names. Moving westwards takes you to Shepherd’s Bush, home of the behemoth Westfield shopping centre, the largest urban mall in Europe. Alighting at the South Kensington tube stop, you begin to understand the area’s reputation as the city’s heart of high-brow culture. Right next to the station you will find a tightly knit (and well signposted) corridor of museums and galleries, all of which date from the 1851 Great Exhibition, whose profits Prince Albert used to regenerate the area. This includes the V&A, Science and Natural History Museums, as well as the Royal Albert Hall. The beauty of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park adds weight to London's title of most verdant city of its size in the world.

Whatever your plans in London there is a huge variety of sites, restaurants and activities all within striking distance. There are plenty of supermarkets close by including a Marks and Spencer and a Sainsbury's. For a friendly local pub try the Blackbird. Or if you are in the mood for something a little more bohemian then check out the world-famous Troubadour, where Private Eye was founded. This place has a well-deserved reputation for its fantastic cocktails, character and live music- the Mumford and Sons played here only a few years ago. Whatever your taste, this is a food-lovers dream.
Maybe take in Christie’s, the globally renowned auction house, located just half a mile away. Countless legendary lots have passed through here including Audrey Hepburn’s timeless black dress from the all-time classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and 20 of Elton John’s cars! The Thames, Battersea Park and Hyde Park are only a little further afield as well as the Albert Hall and the Victoria and Albert Museum. London’s most fashionable streets for shopping are also within easy reach.
Ideally located a 5 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station, offering quick links to the rest of the city via the Circle, District and Piccadilly lines. Many excellent bus links leave from outside the door too.
