Great property, poor check in process
Rough start…The keys that were provided by the management company did not open the doors. The check in process took us over an hour to get in the home while we waited in the heat. It was inconvenient for our family as we were traveling with a baby which made it even difficult while we waited to get into the home.
After we were provided the access code by the emergency after hours manager, we enjoyed our stay. Also good the note, This home does not have AC, it took several hours to cool off the house when we arrived. The afternoons get pretty hot, even with the breeze. Cools off good at night.
This home was clean, well stocked and newly remodeled. Great for our family getaway. We will stay again and hope that next time the check in process goes smoother. However....The home in every other way is a 5 Star!
Great property, great location
Great property, great location. 2 families shared and really enjoyed the property.
Great property, Great location. Minor Suggestions
To start I want to say that our family had a great time with Bellevue as our base station. We skied for 3 days on Deer Valley, and the ski in and ski out was simply sublime. The ski storage locker in the mud room as your entered the side entrance of the house from the slopes was well designed and the slopes are an easy 10 steps up the outdoor staircase.
The home was well furnished, and the check in and out process was extremely easy. Our first night in the home there was a plumbing issue in the master shower (ball valve had broken and water would not stop running). I called the after hour number at 11pm, and spoke to an actual person who apologized and had a plumber at the house at 8am. When you pay this much for a house that is exactly what you should get, but I don't always expect it, so that was a pleasant surprise.
The kitchen area and living space are a combined open space and it worked really well for our large group. We had 20 people for dinner one night and it was very comfortable as we spread out around the large table and the island. The fireplace was out (and didn't seem to work in the master bedroom either) which was a bummer. It would have been nice after a long day of skiing to be able to chill in front of the fire with a book.
The hot tub did exactly what it was supposed to do, although I would probably create a different entry point. In order to get to the hot tub you had to walk through the pullout couch bedroom. A small walkway from the mudroom exit would be more efficient when the house is full.
Now regarding the bedrooms, here is the good and the bad (and the reason this house did not receive 5 stars despite being a phenomenal home). The 2 master bedroom and the double queen bedroom were perfectly appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the small touches like a humidifier were well appreciated (I am not sure if every room had a humidifier, but the Master upstairs did, and it made a big difference). However the bottom floor twin/Murphy bed room needs a redesign. The Murphy bed was rock hard, and the twin beds worked, but would be much better off as a set of bunk beds. In fact I would probably put two sets of bunk beds in that room and make it space for kids. Additionally, the pullout couch room needs to just be a queen bedroom with a nice bed. When you are spending this much for a home, you expect a good bed, not a pullout couch.
In conclusion this is a great home that with a few tweaks could be almost flawless.
Wonderful home and excellent location for skiers!
Would definitely recommend this for winter or summer!
Beautiful home and prime spot to ski Deer Valley. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at service.
