29th Anniversary weekend
We rented this cabin for our 29th Wedding Anniversary weekend. The owner answered all of my questions before we arrived and was very polite and helpful. The cabin was in a great setting with a lot of privacy. The cabin was extremely clean an comfortable. The location is perfect and within minutes from Old Man's Cave, canoeing, zip lining, and some great restaurants. We will book again in the future. Great first experience in Hocking Hills and a great 29th Anniversary getaway.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time at the cabin! It was surprisingly modern, super clean and had everything we needed- we only had to bring our clothes and food for the stay!! Lovely secluded location, can’t recommend enough! I think we’ll be back 😊
Cabin in the woods
We stayed here and loved how close we were to all the tourist attractions. The location was farther away from town than we thought but there was enough around to get extra food and beverages when we needed. The owner let us know of everything that they were having problems with before which was nice. The only thing that we had a problem with were the bunk beds. The bottom bunk was still in the wrappings under the sheets which made a lot of noise at night and the top bunk only had a box spring. This made for a more uncomfortable night sleep but overall we enjoyed this location.
Hidden hollow cabin
It was nice and small out in the woods. Only complaint was there was mouse poop everywhere. Under the bed, microwave, and in all cabinets. Other than that’s it was a nice get away.
I apologize for the little critter droppings. As I mentioned in the description, we really do our best to prevent the pests from coming in but they love the inside of the cabin just like the humans.
Please also note, this cabin was vacant for several days prior to arrival, which allowed time for these critters to do what they do.
Thanks again for your review - I am glad you enjoyed your getaway!
The cabin was awesome
The cabin was in a great place and not fare from everything we wanted to see loved our stay thank u so much
Nice, quiet, hot tub, needs some TLC
This cabin in on a hill near few more cabins but still private. The outside property was not too tidy. There are 2 parked dump trucks, cut up treated wood that looked like some one used in the fire pit, the grill has never been cleaned but It was quiet and the sounds of nature was great.
The cabin was nice inside but some tables to set my coffee on in the tv area would have been great, mixing/storage bowls, a mirror over bathroom sick and not over toilet would be nice. (Getting ready for a woman was a nightmare). The one bedroom bed is so tight in the room with barely room to move so if you can’t climb over the bed railing or squeeze by the bed post there’s no hope getting in that bed. We watched Fire stick the whole time cuz there was a 775 error with direct tv. The ACs ran great, the well water didn’t smell so bad after it’s ran a minute. The price we paid was not too bad, 20 miles from Logan, I would just tidy it up more.
Thanks very much for your review!
I mentioned in some earlier responses to reviews that we are working to remove the construction equipment that has been used to extend the driveway farther into the woods.
One truck has since been taken offsite since this review was left. The others will be moved shortly but they are difficult because of the spring rains making them sink into the mud.
Regarding the bed in be bedroom. It’s a natural log bed and it has a very wide frame. I made sure to put in the description for the cabin the following:
“PLEASE NOTE - The queen bed is made of natural wood logs and crowds one edge of the bedroom pretty well! You have JUST enough room to squeeze by to get to bed! I apologize in advance for the cramped path to bed.”
I also apologize for the poor bathroom mirror layout - I will see if I can make improvements there as well.
Thanks again and I hope you can return to any of my cabins in the area!
