Great view but updates needed

Pro: location, view, space, mattresses Con:lack of quality cooking utensils, knives, pots & pans, slip covers needed cleaning, bed sheets were thin. For the price it was disappointing. Only 2 parking places but additional parking space was allowed by the security guard

Great view!

Ended up being a bit tight for 7 people, and yes the beach is not as easy to get to as you might wish, but overall great place to stay. The view was amazing (especially on our last night with an intense thunderstorm and lightning--so great to sit on the balcony and watch!). The pools in the community are very nice and not overcrowded at all. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, and I think that's the plus or the thing you're paying for that is unique to Watersound. The kitchen was pretty small, very limited dishes and cooking equipment. But it was enough for our needs. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms... The only real negative was that it's not really rental by owner, where you can get in touch with the actual owner of the property. Going through 360 Blue is a different experience. They have a huge number of properties to keep up with, couldn't tell me if we would be able to check in early or not because they had no way of knowing... and turned out we couldn't even check in until a few hours late because the cleaning had run behind schedule. Ended up being okay but it's just not the same VRBO experience that you get when dealing directly with owners. They did leave some fun welcome gifts though!

Perfect stay!

Home was very clean and in a great location. Having the complimentary beach service was great too. Beach access is only a 5-6 minute walk. Views from the second floor are awesome! Only gave 4 stars for check in process because security did not have our information when we checked in for our parking pass, so it took a little longer than it should have. Aside from that, no complaints!

Very Fine Accommodations

This unit was very nice in the appointments and amenities. The location in proximity to the beach was a little bit of walk but once a less winding path was discovered, turned out not to be so bad. Enjoyed the inclusion of the beach chairs and umbrella as part of the rental rate. Adding more chairs through the rental co. was very easy too. Some things to be aware of if looking to rent. 1) Cone-type filters for drip coffee maker. Would have preferred a K-cup-type machine but this served very well. 2) If using the grill by the pool, you will need to improvise for cooking utensils. Could not locate a bbq spatula, thongs, etc. Also, lighting the grill is a little tricky and you may need to supply your own matches or lighter. Parking is right in front.

Home away from home

The property was well appointed, beautiful landscaping, nicely decorated. Pool was great and location to beach good. The home was a great home away from home. The only problem we encountered were mean neighbors behind the property who began to complain when we began unloading. But mean people can be overlooked while the experience was overwhelming.
