great location

We really enjoyed our stay at Silver House. We were able to have wine on the patios. ( had to buy 3 wine glasses - who doesn't have wine glasses in a vacation rental?) The bakery and supermarket so convenient. Barcelona isa great place to visit.

charming ,well located apartment in Barcelona

We are a family of 5 [ couple in our 50s and 3 boys age range 18-26] . We stayed at Ignacio's place from May 2-8. From the start when we booked the place, Ignacio was always responsive and positive. He arranged for us to meet his aide, Xenia,and she was on time and helpful. The apartment is very well located. Eixample is simply lovely. The buildings are beautiful, the streets are clean, locals abound versus a very touristy feel. There are bakeries, convenience stores and a wet market nearby. The Metro is one block away [ although we liked walking around more]. Taxis were easy to get from Calle Arago which is just at the corner. The outlet stores are just about 2 blocks away. Boqueria is an easy 20 minutes walk or about 5 minutes by cab. There is a really good bakery nearby called Eric and Benjamin which has the best pastries we've ever had. The whole area gives off a laid back residential feel which we liked very much. The apartment is on the top floor [4th] and has a roof deck and balcony from both sides. That gave plenty of light and airiness to the living /dining room on one side and the 2 bedrooms on the other. The decor is homey and charming. The master bedroom was comfortable and had enough outlets on each side of the bed plus other areas to accommodate our various gadgets. The sheets were crisp [ plus points!]. Some small touches that would improve the unit would be more absorbent towels that don't shed as much, maybe add an extra roll of toilet paper per bathroom and a starter toiletry kit [shampoo or soap sachet]. The second bedroom could also benefit from a slightly better mattress. The kitchen was completely equipped. The dishwasher had some problem [ wasn't cleaning properly] which may be the reason why some of the dishes were not as clean when we arrived. We also had a power outage on our first night which was resolved by shutting down a part of the power supply in the breaker. We reported this to Xenia and by the next morning, Ignacio had checked it out. The neighbor had some drilling works going on that extended past 6pm and upon reporting to Xenia, it stopped. Overall, our experience was very positive. I would have given higher marks if not for these small touches. Ignacio and Xenia were very responsive and that deserves credit. Thank you for a wonderful stay in our new favorite city!

Best two bedroom ever, but it's advertised as a three bedroom.

This place was fantastic. Extremely well appointed, great location, decks, rooms, all elegant. Except the third bedroom which had no windows, no ventilation, and was right next to the building elevator shaft. If this isn't a problem for you, then you've got a very nice place, but for us, I couldn't give it 5 stars as compared to a true three bedroom unit. Also be aware of the very restrictive no cancellation policy.

The 3 bedroom has a Skylight to ventilate the bedroom (you had the remote control to open the Skylight window.) As for the noise of the elevator is difficult because you can only access that floor (attic) the guests of our house, because It has no neighbor, and the truth is that no guest has told us what you say. Great apartment with great location

We stayed here in early April 2018 and had a wonderful week. We are a family of 4 with 2 boys 17 and 21. The unit is in great shape and is very convenient being only about 100 yards from the Girona Metro station. Taxis were also always available. The neighborhood has everything you need from shopping, supermarkets, great restaurants, etc. It is not as busy as some of the areas closer to Las Ramblas or the Gothic Quarter, which is nice because you are in that all the time while walking around. The outdoor patios are awesome, especially the front one. A morning coffee out there was a daily event. The apartment was well appointed and everything was in great working condition. The master shower was a little small but the bathrooms overall were nice. Bedding could have been a bit more comfortable but I think that is what is typical in apartments in the city. Overall, the unit was roomy and well laid out. I highly recommend it!

Great Place

This place was great. Views and location were awesome. Right around the corner from an amazing market. We walked everywhere from here. It seems that anywhere we wanted to go was just a 10-20 minute walk. If you stay here, bring a towel. I feel like there was a towel closet we couldn't find, lol.

Great apartment, superb location

Very well positioned in a nice part of Barcelona. Some good restaurants a few minutes stroll from the door. Nice bakery on the corner half a block south (Conseil de Cents). Placa Catalunya, Las Ramblas and the old town are within 15 minutes walk. Metro stops are also very close by. The apartment is spacious and well appointed. It felt very homely - especially once we'd figured out how to get the heating going (the weather at the end of February 2018 was particularly unpleasant with cold wind, rain and even snow). Given the poor weather we were not able to make use of the spacious balconies, but they'd be brilliant in warmer weather. Given the central location, the apartment was very quiet - especially as the bedrooms face out into the pretty rear courtyard area. Small things that were good and are not the same everywhere: plenty of storage space including ample coat hangers. Well located power sockets in the bedrooms. Provision of hand soaps in the bathrooms. A lift; it's on the fourth floor, so quite a climb if you walk the stairs, but good for the heart if you do decide to walk up. A few more towels would have been welcome, but not a significant issue. I've stayed in several apartments in Barcelona over the years and this one stands out as the best yet.
