'Finca Jacaranda' is a beautifully presented and very spacious 5 bedroom (4 en-suite) Spanish Finca set in rural surrounds but just 16 miles from the heart of Seville and about 1 mile from the centre of the picturesque Sanlucar La Mayor. Finca Jacaranda provides an ideal spot from which you can explore Andalucia, Costa De La Luz and even the Algarve. Enjoy local sporting activities, make day trips to the sandy beaches or simply relax and unwind in the beautiful large garden and pool.

The Finca is set in a large plot with an orange / lemon tree orchard to the front but it is just a short walk to the nearby bars and restaurants of Sanlucar La Mayor and the train station with a regular service to central Seville is just over half a mile away.

The Finca comfortably sleeps up to 10 people in 5 large bedrooms.

Bedroom 1 - king size double bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan and en-suite

A travel cot and high chair can be provided

The beautiful main lounge / sitting room is a 6m by 9m, had a wood burning fire place (stove) and is open plan with the 3m x 9m dinning area and further sitting area. Just off the lounge through sliding doors is the large kitchen with cooker, gas hob, fridge/ freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave and a large kitchen table and benches.

The gardens are extensive and include a children’s play area with a trampoline, swings and a slide. There are all kinds of trees and plants to explore including apple, banana, olive, orange, lemon, almond, fig, cherry, walnut, palm, mulberry trees, not to forget the giant Jacaranda tree!. The plot is gated to the front with a 70m private drive to the main house with plenty of parking at the top including a double car port providing shade for 2 cars. On the left as you go up the drive is a small annex where the owners father lives (looks after the gardens and pool), your privacy is ensured.

The swimming pool is 8m x 4m and raised above ground level so a single set of steps leads up into it. The pool is the same depth throughout (no shallow end).

The 45m2 covered patio area provides some welcome relief from the glorious sunshine, a barbecue is provided as well as a number of sun loungers and tables / chairs.

The owners father does live in a completely detached annex onsite and helps with the maintenance of the gardens, pool etc. Your privacy is assured but help is at hand if needed.

Spacious, well equipped villa but needs upgrading

We enjoyed our stay at Vinca Jacaranda which had everything we needed. However, some things needed to be replaced such as the outside tables and chairs. Also some of the beds

were not suitable for two people because of the bars on one side. There was a children's play area there but the pool was certainly not suitable for children. There was no shallow end and the walkway around the sides was very narrow without a guard rail. We were not expecting to be woken up at 4am by the cockerels on our holiday or to be walking on lawns outside the villa amongst chicken, duck and other bird droppings.

The village of Sanlucar was not picturesque and it would have been most unpleasant to walk there because of the dusty, dark road from the villa.

Owner's Response: Always good to hear that everyone enjoyed their stay. There is always something we can improve upon and welcome feedback directly from guests. With regards to the beds, these are relatively new and barely used. We did have a different set of cleaners that week so perhaps they made the 2 beds up the wrong way as you lie across them rather than long ways. If the problem had been mentioned at the time it would have been resolved immediately. Looks like some of the garden furniture may have had a hard time with the earlier guests apologies this was not picked up, we will be looking at what needs renewing as we constantly do with everything. In the description of the property we do very clearly indicate that the pool has no shallow end. Our kids are constantly in and out of the pool when we are there but never unsupervised even now as good swimmers. It is a fairly rural location which is one of its charms but that does mean there may be some wildlife. This year we do appear to have been adopted by quite a number of ducks, we will look to discourage this should they return next year. The centre of Sanlucar has a large white typical Spanish church in the middle of a pedestrian area surrounded by bars and restaurants, I personally rather like it, nice to not have the Starbucks and MacDonald's on every corner. The nearby Seville is a gorgeous city, in comparison to that very little comes anywhere close to it. The most important thing is that you enjoyed the stay which is great as that is what we try to make sure of.

Spacious Finca in quiet area - ideal for relaxation

The Finca is situated in large grounds with orange trees, ducks and chickens and is an idyllic situation. It has a lovely large living area with a log fire which we enjoyed on the cooler November evenings. It has good-sized bedrooms with modern en-suite bathrooms and a glorious and large covered patio. It is slightly remote - a car is needed to get around but if you are looking to get away from it all, then this is a great place. We found the owner extremely helpful and he reacted very promptly when there was a problem and his father-in-law is on site if needed. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets a short drive away and it is only a few kilometres to the motorway leading to Seville which is well worth a visit.

Seville Family Holiday

Finca Jacaranda is a modern well designed country villa.It is spacious and well suited to larger family groups. It is easy to get to to the city by bus or train and close to the Village of Sanlucar La Mayor. We enjoyed our stay.The owner and his father in law were most helpful to us all.

Spacious living near Sevilla!

The Finca Jacaranda is a lovely large house with pretty landscaping and a good sized pool for cooling off after a day of touring the area. There is a bathroom for every bedroom and they are all clean and modern. Our group of 9 was able to sit comfortably in the large living room for our evening gatherings or on the covered patio. The kitchen has all the basics for cooking (though we could have used a larger pot for cooking pasta for 9) and there were spices and sugar and olive oil to use as needed. Perhaps the cleaner could check the glasses (quite spotty) and a few other minor areas in the kitchen but otherwise it was terrific! There are ducks and chickens living on the property which were entertaining for the kids. There was air conditioning in the living area and 2 of the bedrooms which worked very well and fans in the other bedrooms. We were there in peak heat season in Sevilla that reached 47 Celsius in the sun yet the cooling was still adequate for our needs. Evenings cool off somewhat anyway and there is always the pool! The closest grocery store is just down the dirt road by the school (a minute by car). I did not walk it as it felt a bit too remote to go on my own. Even better grocery is about 1 km further into Sanlucar. The drive in to Sevilla is an easy one and only takes about 20 minutes to the centre. What a lovely city - it will not disappoint! I would definitely recommend staying at the Finca Jacaranda if you are coming to see Sevilla but want a rest from the city hustle and bustle in the evenings and early mornings.

Magnifiques vacances

Sept jours de détente et de plaisir en famille ( 10 personnes ). La maison est très agréable, confortable, bien équipée et spacieuse. La piscine, le barbecue sous la galerie extérieure, et le jardin d'orangers et de citronniers contribuent grandement au plaisir.

Les commerces et les restaurants sont proches, un véhicule est cependant nécessaire. Séville est à 20 mn mais on peut y aller en train depuis Sanlùcar la Mayor.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la présence de Manuel pour sa gentillesse et son efficacité.

Merci à Gordon pour son organisation, sa disponibilité, sa rapidité à répondre à nos questions.

Nous conseillons également cette maison pour sa situation dans une très belle région avec des sites remarquables autres que Séville, un peu éloignés mais à visiter, comme Cadix, Ronda, Grenade.
