my Newport nest

  • 5 of 5

Thanks to Susan and her hubby, I had a stress free visit to RI. You folks are SO kind! My dog Luke was very welcome too! I made use of the cottage and it was so peaceful there. No traffic, VERY little activity on the street. I slept like a rock! With my business that's not easy. I found everything was in order, it smelled really good and home like. The kitchen had everything I needed to make my visit less expensive. Those restaurants can put a strain on the cash. I was so comfortable, I didn't do half of the treking around that I was going to! I just sat on that deck and could breath! Luke and I walked around newport and just enjoyed all the sites.

I'm sorry this is so late in putting on the site. I visited sept/oct of 08. I WILL return, with hubby in tow and of course a guitar or two. I would for sure recommend this property to my freinds!

Cozy and accomodating

  • 5 of 5

My fiance and I are getting married in Newtport in August so we needed to go down for the weekend to meet with some vendors and do some planning. We found this place which is very close to downtown (10-15 min walk) and really enjoyed it. We were able to bring our lab mix Frank which was exactly what we wanted. And there is a fenced in back yard. The house has everything you would need so we brought some food and cooked dinner and relaxed at night. The bed in the master bedroom is really comfy! Its so nice to be able to fully relax and undwind at the end of the day and not feel like you are cooped up in a tiny hotel room.

Holidays in Newport

  • 5 of 5

I have been to this cottage in almost every season. Now I can add holidays in Newport. It was a lovely place to be even in colder weather. Again, lovely cottage, close to everything, warm cozy cottage. I was there during blizzard and Hamish shoveled me out! Thank you! Dogs loved it as usual. We will be back! Soon! Call you with dates soon!

Best wishes,

Diane, Trixie and Buddy!

Give Fred a pat on the head from us all! What a little dog! So brave!

Another lovely visit to Newport

  • 5 of 5

I enjoyed my stay so much I returned for the holidays and viewed Newport during the Christmas holiday! It was just lovely and so was the cottage. Snug, warm, and relaxing was my time here between Christmas and New Years. I would rate this excellent and very close to all lovely things in Newport RI.

Sue and Hamish are the best hosts.

Buddy and Trixie say hello to them and hope Freddie is doing well!

Best wishes,

Hamden, CT

Lovely area and lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

This was my first time renting in Newport for a whole week. The cottage renovations are lovely. Sue and Hamish have created a very warm and inviting. This cottage is close to everything and being on a deadend with off street parking in Newport was perfect. I walked down to water every morning where there is a park overlooking bay. Just wonderful!

It is a family area and very quiet with a lovely garden to look out. Buddy(my yorkie) and I loved our week and wished I had time for another week. Sue and Hamish the owners are so warm and accommodating hosts. Always there if needed.

I plan on returning!!

Diane
