About the property

Halwyn Farm

Halwyn is an old Cornish farmstead, with the farmhouse believed to be around 250 years old, situated in a quiet and secluded valley on the Lizard Peninsula, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We have 3 cosy and comfortable holiday homes. The holiday homes have been converted from an old barn and the piggery. Here you will find peace and tranquillity second to none, passing traffic is a rarity, with only the sounds of nature to break the silence. The grounds at Halwyn extend to some 2 acres and include a stream, a Large pond and beautiful lawned areas as well as many unusual and beautiful sub-tropical plants which grow well here with the benefit of the Gulf Stream.

Our holiday homes are all personally supervised and extremely well equipped, providing everything you need for a self catering holiday - if you should need anything else please ask. They are well decorated, clean and comfortable and are heated with electric heaters. Each unit has a TV and Blue Ray Player, cooker, microwave, fridge, heated towel rail and shaver sockets. The beds will be made up when you arrive and all bed linen, towels and electricity are included.

The weather in this part of Cornwall is milder than the rest of the country, so a holiday in spring, autumn or even winter can be a very pleasant experience. We are happy to arrange short breaks during Low and Mid seasons - please ask for details.

Well behaved dogs are welcome in Courtyard Cottage. Smoking is not permitted inside any of the cottages

Excellent holiday home!!

  • 4 of 5

We were very pleased with the property - we have two small children (3 1/2 and 18 months) and the property was perfect for us. Every room was in excellent condition and very clean. The swimming pool was brilliant and we used it every day. The owners were so kind and couldn't do enough for us - they moved a bed out of the twin bedroom so that we could put a travel cot in and helped us to change a tyre when we had a flat! The only downside to this property is the location as it is quite remote - this has its upside as it was very peaceful but it was always bit of a drive to get anywhere. If we were to go to this part of the country again I would definitely stay here!!

Clean, compact, well furnished with beautiful grounds and lovely indoor pool.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the newly refurbished Courtyard Cottage. Small but lovely. The pool was a real treat. Used it every day. Very peaceful and relaxing and David and Debbie very approachable and went out on Easter Sunday to try and get us an additional heater! The only thing which would help with a longer stay would be laundry facilities but I think they are scheduled. We would stay again :-):-):-)
