Paradise by the bay. Quiet, serene, gorgeous sunsets, crystal clear waters. Tropical setting.
Easy and friendly atmosphere and yet very private. For relaxing vacations, honeymoon,
anniversaries and even weddings, our place is so unique and quaint, you'll want to come
back again and again as most guests do. Glass paneled cottages give everyone a good view
of the bay. White sand beachfront. 2 docks to sit by and cast fishing poles. Sail away to
discover islands. Kayak or pedal away along the coastline. Watch the manatees that
frequently visit us right at our docks. Sit down , relax, and watch the beautiful sunset
view right at the Tiki Hut on the bay. Swimming in clear Caribbean water. Sailing the
incredible Key Largo coast. Or watching distant clouds riding a tropical breeze along the
horizon. You're home...at the Key Lime Sailing Club. So get your feet wet! Come inside to
take a look at our accommodations and all we have to offer at Key Lime Sailing Club.
Paul Keever is an entrepreneur who decided to move from Long Beach, California to the tropical waters of the Florida Keys.
Here he started a vacation rental business while raising his 2 kids who were then 4 and 5 years old.
He loves all kinds of water activities and adventures specially sailing. Once or twice a week, Paul takes out all of the guests for a sunset cruise on his 47' sailboat around Florida Bay.
Paul is still single and currently looking for a lifetime partner!
Reservations Specialist purchased this cottage in 1999
Paul chose this property because the water is warm and clear, and he thought he was about to retire. He initially purchased a bayside house with 2 extra cottages and 2 sailboats. But as his rental business grew, Paul purchased the surrounding properties as well.
This is an all-inclusive place where you have tons of activities that you can enjoy without leaving the property.
Rent one of our cottages and get to use our sailboats, kayaks, paddle boards, water toys, bicycles, snorkel gear, fishing gear for free. We also take our guests out once or twice a week for an amazing sunset cruise around Florida Bay on our 47' catamaran at no extra cost!
As Paul states, 'staying here is like staying at Club Med without the food'.
I can't say enough about how wonderful this place is. My sons would return this minute if they could! It is a very homey place with plenty of activities. I found it perfect for 3 teenagers who needed more than just water and beach. They learned so much there and saw so many things! We saw manatees within 20 minutes of of our arrival! The following day, 3 more arrived, and our sons were able to spend considerable time with them in the water. They also saw barracuda, lobster, horseshoe crab, dolphins and a variety of other fish. You are allowed to use fishing gear, bikes, snorkeling equipment, sailing equipment, water toys, kayaks, and basically anything you might need to use there or to take to a nearby state park. The Captain provided a sunset sailing cruise for all the guests, and taught us many things about the area and the history. The staff were just great, but what really was the icing on the cake were the other guests. This place attracts the best of the best, and everyone gathered at the tiki hut at the end of the day for stories, music, cards and fun. Thank you so much for making our trip so fantastic and for entertaining our boys, Liz and Tony. They are still talking about you. Our last day there, we were doing a final sunset kayak tour and dolphins showed up right next to us. One of them waved his tail in the air like he was saying goodbye! It was just perfect. Like in the other reviews, don't expect a Hilton. This place is not like that. It has atmosphere that you just can't get in a 5 star.
The cottages were very quaint and very clean. The manager was very polite and all the staff was friendly. The place is back behind, what looks like a junk yard of old and misplaced boats. There is no sign out front. They no longer have sunset cruises which was a disappointment. The waters were very rough this week, so we were not able to take any boats out and being completely novices there was really nothing else to be do there. The swimming area....well there is none. We ended up leaving 2 nights early and heading to someplace that had a pool and things to do.
If all you want to do is sail then this is the place for you, just hope you can do that. Like I said the cottages were very nice and very clean,
we were to visit daily for 5 in January. We had a beautiful cottage which was perfectly equipped. The staff was very friendly and the area was very clean and well maintained!
The Keys are made for fun! Things to do and local attractions are all within easy reach of the Key Lime Sailing Club. Sailing lessons, dolphin swims, snorkel reef/wreck diving, water skiing, parasailing, golf, gambling, guided eco/mangrove jungle expeditions, oceanside / bayside & Everglades kayaking tours, Everglades Alligator Farm, crewed charter boats sail and fishing, motorcycle rentals, windsurfing/kite sailing, national parks/nature reserves with hiking/ running/jogging/ biking trails, and a must do: Feed wild 120 pound fish with your bare hand (a great photographic opportunity!). And remember use of the sailboats, rowing dory, canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, bicycles, floaters, snorkel/fishing gear, as well as awesome sunset cruises and frequent manatee visits are always FREE with your cottage rental. You can swim and snorkel right off our beach or dock. Plus, there is plenty of great sailing and kayaking adventures to be had, like our mangrove jungle cruise.
