We had various family members join us over the period of our stay and the arrangements were seamless. Centauro self drive car hire or BeniConnect shuttle buses recommended for transfers. The shuttle bus stops outside the nearby local supermarket.
The owner Andre was on hand on arrival and if needed and responsive to any requests.
Good restaurants and beach bars within walking distance but the special feature enjoyed by all was the outside kitchen and dining area, an added bonus. The villa was spotlessly clean, well equipped and offered both cooling shade and sunbathing. Local supermarket only 5 minutes stroll. we couldn't have asked for anything more for a super holiday.
Many thanks for your review.
It’s great to see you had such a nice time in our
Villa Medina in Moraira.
It was a pleasure for us to have you and your family as our guests.
Thanks for all and looking forward to see you again.
Moraira was originally a small fishing village, it is located in a beautiful small bay with many coves where you can enjoy fantastic clear waters of the sea.
It is a must to put on a mask to take a look under water (if only as an air mattress, -), there really is where a world open to you.
Even in the busiest weeks of the year, dominated here serenity.
All around the village to the mountains with the different urbanisations, where the most beautiful villas stand.
You go a little bit further, you come suddenly into a vast wine region. This is also the origin of the second activity of the local population,
whether they were fishermen and they were winegrower.
Here the sweet grapes of the very typical Moscatel are grown.
Teulada has over the years won several awards with his famed muscatel wine.
By car you can make beautiful trips to the interior, a must for those who love a surprising stroll, the walk is about Bernia.
To me still a great awareness after many years.
You will see ie inland and there, you start with a relative climb to climb the Bernia given far, it's not walking anywhere, there are pieces where you need a little scrambling, but if you have a bit of fitness and a are nimble little to do good. The spectacular is that if you are near the top, you can through a small tunnel (over 1 m).
From this side of the tunnel, you have a beautiful view over the valley, mountains and lots of vineyards and almond and olive groves, a truly magnificent view of the countryside.
The surprise comes when you go through the tunnel, because at the end of the tunnel is light and what kind of a light,
bright blue of the Mediterranean.
A tunnel of some 50 m., But a world of difference.
Suddenly you're in a typical Mediterranean.
Overlooking the endless sea, the attractive town of Altea and our own "Big Apple" Benidorm.
You can himself hardly imagine a greater transformation of a landscape.
It goes without saying that this area is a paradise for cyclists and I mean actually mountain bikers and cyclists.
I need you I do not say, just the fact that in recent years more and more professional teams training here, indicates that it is an ideal area by mountain wonderful trips by bike. The alternation of the green in the inland mountains and the deep blue of the sea, makes cycling here a very varied and fantastic activity.
For those who love a little more of the city, I can only say go to Valencia. It truly is a beautiful city, with a large variety of buildings.
The old town with its magnificent medieval buildings, such as the very stately town house, the regional parliament, the cathedral, but on the other hand a very, but really a very futuristic part of the city,
"La Ciudad de las Artes y Ciencias" a masterpiece of Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava.
Here is also one of the most beautiful and the largest aquarium in Europe, the Oceanogràfic, an unlikely spectacle of marine life you can see here. Should you after all this historical, futuristic and natural spectacle really just want to shop here, no problema. Cross the road and you bevidt in one of Spanje' s largest department store "El Corte Ingles" not yet sufficient,
no problema, you cross the road again and you come into a very nice shopping center. If you are going to take a look at it, just go upwards from here has a great view of all the different futuristic buildings, pleasing to the eye.
Well, we have obviously not had agreed on all the nice places where you can enjoy typical tapas, paella, or simply a delicious fresh fish.
But best of all, you can just stay at home, just, lovely on the edge of the pool, under a palm tree with a book ....
