Bell's Cottage- a charming, fairy tale setting.

  • 5 of 5

Bell's Cottage was in a perfect location, convenient to all the stunning vistas of the Ring of Kerry, charming villages to shop and dine, yet in a country setting within earshot of cattle and sheep. Our hosts were very kind and accommodating. If you are looking for a quiet, immaculate, convenient setting, this cottage is for you. We will come back one day!

Great vacation in a lovely cottage

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for five days in this lovely cottage. Evi and Rolf Bachem are very polite and friendly hosts which gave us plenty of valuable information in advance and during our stay. Communication with them was always very easy.

The cottage is well equipped and we did not miss a single thing. The furniture and decorations fit perfectly to this cottage and give it a very comfortable atmosphere. We really liked staying there. Furthermore, the big garden surrounding the house offers plenty of spots to relax in the sun or shadow, just as you like.

The location of the cottage is ideal for plenty day trips. We went to the ring of Kerry, to Dingle, to Gap of Dunloe and many more great attractions with only short driving. In addition, there are many beautiful spots to discover just around the cottage.

In conclusion, we enjoyed our time in this cottage very much and we would love to return to it once we are in Ireland again.

A warm cosy cottage to return to after a day of exploring this beautiful area.

  • 5 of 5

A charming 19th century cottage with a lovely atmosphere which retains many original features and which Evii has sensitively furnished with many artefacts reflecting the period, one can almost imagine Alice Bell the original owner living her life there. The house faces east/west so lots of light fills the cottage which we loved, so often properties of this age can be dark and pokey. The central heating works a treat and there is an open fire for cosy evenings in. There is a huge garden which I can imagine would be great for children to explore.

Killorglin nearby is excellent for shopping and eating out with a variety of good quality restuarants. We particularly recommend Bianconi which serves excellent food in a warm friendly atmosphere, the majority of customers seem to be locals so I guess that speaks for itself. Also excellent fish and chips in Quinlans eat in or take away. Don't miss Jacks Bakery for great picnic food.

Bells Cottage is in a great location for exploring this beautiful area, the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Penisular also Killarney and the Muckross House and Gardens.

Evi and her husband Rolf are warm, friendly and helpful and we very much enjoyed meeting them, they even laid on stunning weather for us !
