Luxury by the Beach - Great for Families or Multiple Couples

Casa Pacifica is a large property with 2 houses (6 bedrooms), a large pool and a lot of outdoor space inside of a gated property. FYI, the smaller house was listed under Casita Pacifica (2 bedrooms) and we have just recently merged the entire property to one listing for 2022 and beyond.

This rental provides 2 luxury beach houses in a prime location 200 yards from the stunning Playa Samara, one of best beaches in Costa Rica. This private property is only steps from two incredible beaches (Playa Samara and Playa Carrillo) and you are walking distance to the towns of Samara and Carrillo for a real taste of Costa Rican culture. This is a perfect place for an active family vacation or just a relaxing, casual getaway. We offer a lot of extras including 2 large kitchens (one in each house), kayaks, bikes, grills, a dishwasher and a washer/dryer.

The four-bedroom home has two masters and a great living area which opens up to the kitchen and a large covered terrace overlooking the pool. The smaller house is is only steps away, sharing the shared circular driveway and has an additional kitchen, living room and outdoor living spaces. The pool is surrounded by a lush garden, and you can expect to be visited by monkeys, iguanas, land-crabs, red-tailed squirrels and scores of other lizards and birds. Samara Beach is known to be one of the safest swimming beaches on the west coast of Costa Rica but is also great for surfing too.

Boats can pick you up right at the beach (200 yards up the road) for world-class sport-fishing, turtle & dolphin tours or just a tour of the beautiful coastline. Included with the house are two kayaks so that you can tour the safe waters or go visit Isla Chola and have and entire island to yourself. You can learn to surf in Samara and catch intermediate waves, and you are only 15 miles away from some of the top surfing breaks in the world.

This is one of the finest rentals in Samara. Our staff will ensure you have an amazing vacation. Wall-to-wall tile, quality linens, towels & large walk-in showers await you and housekeeping and security is included - all you have to do is enjoy yourself.

Security & Camera Disclosure: The entire property has walls and gates and just in case we do employ a nightly security guard. There are security cameras with motion detecting lights covering the 2 driveway entrances. There are no security cameras inside the house or anywhere by the back pool or shower areas. VRBO has a strong policy on how video content can be used.

What a great place to stay

This is a really great rental property and if you get the chance to book it I would thoroughly recommend it. The layout of the house suited our family group of 7 The kitchen was well equipped and had staples including a few spices, oil, kitchen towel, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and bin bags. They also supplied toilet paper in all the bathrooms. The star of the house was the outside space though. We just loved it! The swimming pool was a good size - it lost the sun about 2.30 in the afternoon which was a shame but luckily the beach was very close. There were plenty of chairs and beds outside and a nice dining area. We took some citronella candles with us which I would recommend if sitting outside. Talking of guests to the garden we had some friendly raccoons visit as well as a troop of monkeys. There were loads of iguanas and lizards too. We used the kayaks and a couple of the bikes that were supplied. We walked to both beaches and they are as close as the description says. But for us it was far too hot to walk into Samara and only took 5 minutes in the car. Overall we had a lovely stay on this property and I would definitely hope to book it again if we go back to Costa Rica.

Great Space Near the Beach

Plenty of room for 8 adults and 3 young children. It is an easy walk to the beach from the property. I would recommend renting a golf cart or car to get to town and neighboring Carrillo beach. The pool and outdoor space were very nice. The house is stocked with plenty of supplies for cooking. Cleaning staff came twice during our stay and did a great job. Great stay overall.

Incredible house and location for Family Vacation

We had a wonderful family vacation at Casa Pacifica. The house was perfect for our group of 13 which included my 6month old and 2.5 yr old plus 11 adults. The house was fully equipped and even more beautiful in person than in photos. AspSpotless and the lovely ladies who came to clean were wonderful. We had an issue with the fridge which was solved within hours by the Samara rentals staff. Samara beach was such a close walk and spent lots of time between the pool and Samara and Carrillo beach. We loved seeing and hearing the Howler monkeys and the resident Iguanas on the property. Samara rentals was so helpful with recommendations and logistics. 10/10 recommend. Best family beach vacation ever!

Samara Beach

We enjoyed every minute. The houses were extremely comfortable, clean, and spacious. The pool and hot tub were popular with all ages, and we were at a beach everyday. Samara Beach and Playa Corillo were our go-to beaches. We found that the far ends(N&S) of Samara were good for the kids who even got up on the surf board for the first time! Sunsets at Samara, a short walk frrom the casitas, are a must for the last evening swim. There were plenty of bakeries, supermarcados, shops to choose from. We found a local fish market that had the best fresh fish ever. The local coffee was excellent and the local bakeries were full of goodies, ice cream, grab and go on the streets. We never felt unsafe and found excellent restaurants and bars to visit. The location was out of the busy-ness of Samara proper, but local small convenience stores were within minutes of the house. Leo was fantastic. Super responsive and helpful. The cleaning staff were wonderful. Wifi was amazing. Had some "work" to do, as usual. Plenty of quiet space for privacy, and beautiful living and eating spaces for sharing the day's adventures. Overall we had a great time and would not hesitate to recommend to families and friends!

We are Canadians living in North Carolina with a rental property in Costa Rica. We raised 3 children (now young adults) with yearly trips to Costa Rica, so we have a lot of Costa Rica travel experience we can share. Our focus is to provide a positive impact on Costa Rica by providing fair wages and benefits and giving back to the local community. We hope to someday retire to Costa Rica, but have a ways to go.

Why they chose this property

We choose Guanacaste on the advice of many Tico's we have met - since it's technically dry forest, it offers many more months of lower humidity, less rain and less bugs - but it still has a great tropical climate. After touring all over Guanacaste, we chose Samara because it's the best family destination. The beach there is protected by the reef and is one of the safest swimming beaches on the West Coast & the town is just big enough to offer everything you need. It also is 'locally grown', made up of a bunch of independently owned hotels and restaurants (no chains at all). It has all the same sights and tours that the larger beach towns offer (arguably the best beach around) - but without the crowds and party element.

What makes this property unique

Our property is on the far end of Samara Beach from the town of Samara - right between the beached of Playa Samara and Playa Carrillo. The property offers a lot of privacy, a lot of nature and guests often have the beach to themselves. It's close enough to Samara to be convenient to stores, restaurants and bars - but far enough from town to enjoy the mornings and evenings with just the sounds of nature around you. The house definitely one of the finest rentals in the area and our staff is fantastic.
