A cosy full equipped Valencian cottage in the middle of an operating vineyard, with a small swimming pool overlooking the spectacular Orotava Valley and Teide, the highest volcano in Spain. This is one of two totally independant cottages that face away from each other and do not share any of the facilities except the vegetable garden and the parking area. The 15000 square meter property is located one kilometre from the centre of the historical town of La Orotava where you can experience the traditional canarian lifestyle.
Our house is perfectly located, close to the action with easy access to the city centre and the motorway to all directions and in the edge of rural La Orotava.
We are two brothers passionated about food and wine. We enjoy making people feel at home.
Fabián Torres Núñez purchased this cottage in 1994
It is a beautiful property in a great location.
We have two ancient botanic treasures of great endemic value: a 200 year old Dragon tree and a canarian pine.
Respectful, Clean and tidy customers. Easy going and independent guests. A pleasure to have them in ones property. Thanks and hope to see you next year.
We had a brilliant time and will definitely come again. The finca was very cosy and comfortable, the outside space was also excellent. Best of all was the very well-equipped kitchen, great for any cook.
Great place for a quiet break. There are two properties to rent within the vineyard both have private areas for sunbathing, we rented property with its own pool (although too cold to use this early in the year!) we had nice outside space around the pool with lovely views of the mountains and down to the coast. Walking distance into the village for evening meals (recommend Victoria Hotel - probably need to book) or try any of Fabian's three restaurants. We went to two - twice- and weren't disappointed although it did mean a 10 min drive.
The property itself has two bedrooms, much needed (at this time of the year) wood pellet heater in lounge and is well equipped and clean with a very comfortable bed - really important to us. There is an extremely large and well equipped kitchen / diner in a separate building (right opposite lounge door so very easy access).
Drawbacks as mentioned previously is noise and close proximity to Road/roundabout and also dogs barking at night - when one starts they all join in. However if you want privacy and a relaxing holiday away from crowds this is definitely the place for you.
Really beautyful finca.
We spent there a week. The hospitality of the owner, the equipments, the rooms, the garden, the pool, the location and I can say everithing was more than perfect. I can't say any negatives.
The property was a great place to live in while we were in Tenerife. The pool was great and private, the view from the bedroom was superb, and the kitchen was all one could wish for. The coloured lights in the bedroom and in the lounge are a nice touch. Fabian and Mario were excellent hosts, leaving a welcome pack that covered us for quite a while, and on hand for anything we needed. You MUST visit their restaurants. They are fabulous.
There is a pleasant enough walk into the town with plenty of restaurants and bars to eat in (try the Victoria Hotel for an evening meal - quiet and expensive - you might need to book during busy periods - it's not large) It takes about 15 minutes to be in the middle of town. If you relax enough and don't want to walk back, taxis are available from a couple of taxi ranks in the town.
Previous visitors had mentioned the traffic noise as being intrusive. We considered that this wouldn't be a problem. However, there does seem to be a "rush hour" period in the morning which can disturb a lazy lie-in. Night times, weekends and most of the day, the noise is not an issue.
We had dreadful weather virtually all week, which curtailed our plans, but that's no reflection on either the property or the owners - who even tried to find us things to do to keep us occupied.
We just returned from our 2 weeks holidays in Finca. It was really great two weeks, we enjoyed a lot! Mario and Fabian were very supportive, house is in great shape, well maintained and everything was really great and available for us (incl. baby cot and high chair for our 14 months old son). There was welcome packet waiting for us in the kitchen, we also received a lot of great advises (what to see, where to eat, etc.). For us it was THIS type of holiday, when you would like to stay another week, instead of flying home (this is not so common in our case :) ). The only disadvantage we found, as mentioned above as well, is close proximity of the road. It's creates some noise in the bedroom. In general, highly recommended for your family holidays, moreover you can drink wine, done in the vineyard you live in! Quite a rare experience... :)
