Trip to Arkansas 2019
The property is way out in the country. Katherine is very kind, and has thought of everything we could need. The little cottage is perfect for 2, very comfortable, and very clean. We would stay here again if and when we go back to Arkansas.
This was a bait and switch
We book a cabin and then when we got there she put us in a loft. Not what we paid for ! Then the loft had twin beds which only would fit a child, the shower neither myself of my husband could fit into steps to the loft which we are older an my husband would not be able to handle. We checked out the within hours of arrival. When the owner texted for us to turn light off I informed her we had texted her an checked out! She said she had us confused with some one else , it was her fault and to please come back, This was 10 :00PM by this time we had made other arrangements. Total a bait and switch con. This was our first time doing a rental, Never again !
I take responsibility in directing my guests to a incorrect room. However, I did ask them if the room was acceptable and both husband and wife agreed that is was. They at now time stated that it was not the room that they had booked. I had two groups of guests checking in on the same day at approximately the same time. With lack of communication, the guests chose to check out without contacting me to express their dissatisfaction and without giving me the opportunity to correct the situation. When I realized they had left, I immediately called and apologized for the mix-up (on my part) and offered them the room they had originally booked. I did have another room also that was available. They choose to ignore my attempts to correct the situation. Again, I take responsibility for the initial misunderstanding and expect my guests to let me know when they are dissatisfied. Again, they both indicated upon being shown the smaller room that it was acceptable. What else was I do? Katherine Friday
