About Bill & Betty Ann Tis
Betty Ann and I are recently retired. We have owned our home in Coral Bay for 10 years and have enjoyed it immensely (as will you). Betty Ann raised two kids who are now an attorney and a PhD candidate; and I spent 40 years in the industrial chemical business. We like to travel, mostly to warm places but it is hard to beat St. John. With 3 grandkids living in Colorado, we commute back and forth from Denver a lot. We have a long history of community service thru our church, YoungLife Youth ministry, and The Caribbean Youth Network. Although we are new to VRBO, our property managers and neighbors are 5 star Super Hosts so you will be in good hands.

Great view and perfect location
This property is outstanding. Not only is the view perfect, you can easily walk to the grocery stores and restaurants. Hosts Julie and Jack are very accommodating and helpful.
Cruz Bay dreaming
Ideal rental for enjoying the wonders of St. John, especially the beaches, sites and restaurants on the Cruz Bay side of the island.
Easy drive to the north shore beaches as well. This was a return visit for us. Everything was as expected. Great deck for relaxing, eating and watching the Cruz Bay scene. Julie's dinners and Jack's island knowledge topped off a wonderful stay.
Thank you Catherine for such a great review! However, we must correct that we are on the Coral Bay side of the Island of St. John, not Cruz Bay. Thanks and we hope to see you again next year!
Julie, Jack and Kai
This was our 2nd trip to St. John first staying in Coral Bay. We found that we liked this area better as it was closer to the beaches we loved beat on the north shore (Francis, Cinnamon and Maho) and allowed us to explore more of the other beaches in the coral Bay Area. House was exactly as described the outdoor porch was great and Julie’s mango coconut bread was delicious. Jack and Julie were very helpful throughout our stay for any questions or anything you needed. I would highly recommend staying here. We will certainly be back.
Great Stay in Coral Bay
My wife and two teenage boys stayed here the last 10 days of December and didn't want to leave. This was our first time staying on the Coral Bay side of the island and we loved it. The property being in the heart of Coral Bay allows you easy road access to the rest of the island. There are 5 or 6 restaurants/bars within walking distance or a short drive, also parking is so much easier in Coral Bay. Sunrises are beautiful and the large deck is a great place to watch them from. You will notice a lot more goats, chickens, donkeys and even a pony wandering around the Coral Bay area which we found fun to watch. As for the property, it is as advertised, clean, comfortable, stocked kitchen, nothing fancy but really homie. We slept great in the air-conditioned bedrooms and the washer dryer was super convenient. The room service dinner we ordered from Julie on Christmas Eve turned out to be the best tasting dinner we had on our trip (and we eat out a lot). Wi-fi and satellite TV worked great and beach chairs/equipment were in good shape. We definitely found staying in Coral Bay more relaxing and laid back. The bars usually close between 9 and 10pm so you don't hear music till all hours of the night like in Cruz Bay. There's better star gazing as there is less light pollution. You're also closer to more trail heads and less crowded beaches. We would definitely love to stay here again!
Peaceful, spacious and great view
We stayed there for 5 nights.
The house was very nice and comfortable, and it had everything we need, like guidebooks and maps, the first aid kit, kitchen equipment, hair dryers, the full size washer & dryer, Netflix and wifi. We loved the view from the balcony. The house is facing east so we had a magnificent sunrise view over the coral bay.
Wonderful place away from the bustle of Cruz Bay.
This is a great place to stay. You can be picked up from the ferry and rent a Jeep directly from the property managers. The mango coconut bread was excellent as well as the pasta dinner served to us on the night of our arrival. The views of Coral Bay are gorgeous and one gets a good sense of island life.
