This is very basic mobile home on a working ranch. It’s about a 30 minute drive to the south entrance of Crater Lake. Lodging in the area is very limited, so this was a good choice for us. We accidentally showed up a day early and the owner was very accommodating by letting us check in a day early. If you plan to cook, stock up on groceries in a city outside of Chiloquin. It’s a very small town with limited groceries that are very expensive. There are a couple of eateries in town that are reasonably priced though. The home is a very quiet place to stay in the midst of farmland. It could use some screens on the windows. It was pretty warm while we were there and the mosquitoes were swarming, so we couldn’t open some of the windows to cool it down. There is WiFi, but no TV. Bring a tablet if this is important to you. We enjoyed our quiet time here on a busy road trip through the state of Oregon.
Very much like home with the necessities to prepare meals. Super quiet as you commune with the sheep and cows in fields around the house. Every once in awhile you get the opportunity to hear a train about a half a mile away. A nice night’s stay traveling from Crater Lake to Mount Shasta.
