About Kerensa Baker
I am originally from London and have recently moved back to the UK after 20 years in Key West, Florida, where I rented rooms a little bit on my funky houseboat. Loved everything about it, especially being by the ocean. So moving back to Padstow, where my family is from and has a long history with, is a dream come true for me. I love theatre and music and was a singer for several years in the USA. Now I have returned home for a change in pace, and to get back to my roots! I believe strongly in equality for all people and so welcome all people! See you soon!

Why Kerensa Baker chose Padstow
Cross House is a landmark building in Padstow. It is set in a very prominent position in the heart of the village, facing down towards the harbour and the Doom Bar beyond. It was owned by my grandmother many years ago and has recently come back into the family. We love this house so much, and are involved in an ongoing renovation of the main part of the house, which is almost finished. At that time we may open up a couple of rooms inside for select weeks to visitors.
What makes this Hotel unique
This is a very smart and spacious room, suitable for slightly longer stays than the average room in Padstow. It is right in the middle of town, but set back and quiet in the evenings. You are walking distance, steps in some cases, to some lovely breakfast spots and about 2 minutes from the bustling harbour.

Cross House is located in the heart of Padstow, walking distance to all the world class beaches, and about 2 minutes walk from the harbour and all the dining, shopping and entertainment Padstow has to offer. Padstow is a truly beautiful Cornish town, with a working harbour and stunning scenery in every direction. The beaches rival any in the world for beauty and clean, clear water. All the beaches are within easy walking distance from Cross House the closest being a beautiful 10 minute stroll. The Coastal Path walk is one of the most stunning in the country and can take you as far as you like. It is dotted with tea shops and pubs and is a lovely day out.
The ferry to Rock runs all day during high season and there is a night ferry/water taxi you can call if you go to Rock for dinner. It runs until 11pm. Buses can take you anywhere from Wadebridge to Plymouth! The bus rides into the closer towns like Newquay are actually lovely rides through the countryside and pretty villages, well worth a trip.
