This 400 square-foot one-bedroom apartment is on the 6th floor of a 19th century building with a small elevator. The elevator comes to our floor. The entrance gate, protected by a coded security system, opens into a courtyard with a door to a protected hallway and staircase. The apartment entrance opens directly into the living room and the open kitchen.
The bright living room features a high ceiling, exposed oak beams, a large skylight and three tall and wide large windows with eastern exposure overlooking the courtyard. It is furnished with a brand new brick color sofa-bed, an additional sand color sofa, armchair and ottoman, a wood dining table with expandable top to accommodate 4 chairs, an antique mirror, a small TV, stereo-system and a chest of drawers. The open kitchen is a state-of-the-art, high-tech, Italian designer kitchen. It is equipped with a glass counter, a stainless steel refrigerator, a large stainless steel cabinet, two vitro ceramic plates, a kettle, a coffee maker, a microwave oven, a dishwasher and clothes washing machine.
The separate bedroom is small, but has a comfortable bed. The floor is the same oak hardwood floor found in the living room. It has a large window with western exposure.
The bright separate bathroom with a skylight has a Villeroy and Boch ceramic shower, washbasin and toilet. There is also another toilet in the hallway.
Central heating and electric water heater.

The apartment has high ceilings with exposed oak beams and two skylights. It’s airy, sunny and quiet. It was totally renovated and professionally redesigned by an interior designer: new walls, new open kitchen, new bathroom, new oak floors. In the summer, we provide movable air-conditioning unit. We also provide a safe-box for your valuables.
From the apartment, you can stroll to the breathtaking Jardin du Luxembourg (one block away) and to many other famous destinations such as le boulevard SAINT GERMAIN, the Cathedral of Notre-Dame, le Musée d’Orsay, le Louvre, le Grand Palais, le QUARTIER LATIN. Restaurants, shops, the Seine river and museums are in close proximity. Across the street we have the famous BREAD & ROSES CAFE that features organic breads, pastries, salads and sandwiches. There is also a bike station on the next block from which you can check out a bike and enjoy the new bike paths in Paris and along the banks of the Seine River.
For public transportation, we have three close subway stations: St-Placide (Line 12), Notre-Dame–des-Champs, and Rennes with easy access to CDG (Roissy-Charles de Gaulle Airport) and the train stations: Gare Montparnasse, Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon. Numerous bus lines can be found nearby to take you conveniently all over Paris.

We love that we can go shopping and sightseeing and come back to the apartment to rest before heading out again. It's so easy and convenient! We are also very fond of 'our garden', the Luxembourg where we like to sit, read, talk or visit with our friends.
We really enjoyed Paris' neighborhoods, shops, food and wine, and people while "living" at this convenient, spacious apartment. Pary made this first experience with VRBO a very positive one before we left home, and Franck was a wonderful resource, and very helpful and respectful while there. The St. Germain area was fabulous!
My husband and I spent a week at this lovely apartment just a block away from the Jardin du Luxembourg. The owners were very responsive and willing to answer all of our questions before leaving the U.S., including letting us stop by the apartment early (we arrived on an early morning flight) and drop off our luggage before the official check-in time. The apartment itself has a lot of amenities that are not common in Paris -- an elevator (so helpful for heavy luggage), air-conditioning (a portable unit that worked very well to keep the apartment nice and cool during 90F degree days), a large shower, reliable wifi, microwave, etc. We did not use the dishwasher, washing machine or stove, but it is a nice option for anyone staying longer. Our favorite part about this apartment is the location -- across the street from Bread & Roses bakery, a 1 minute walk to the Luxembourg Gardens, and walking distance to many of Paris' most desirable restaurants, cafes, shopping, and other sites. I stayed here in this gorgeous apartment for three months in 2015 while taking French classes and trying to finish my novel. The hardest part was leaving and wondering if I'd ever be able to come back and if I had to stay elsewhere, how would it ever measure up? The apartment is charming, spacious, and bright, the bedroom cozy and comfortable, the bathroom and kitchen are tasteful and have every modern convenience. At one point i needed the toilet repaired and the owner came and fixed it himself. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience here--the location is wonderful, the apartment feels very safe and homey, the location of the park and groceries, etc, made it the experience of a lifetime. If I can visit again in 2016, I will. If my novel ever gets published, it will have a bit of Paris at it's core. Thank you P and L and best wishes for 2016.
My husband and I spent eight nights in this welcoming and comfortable, superbly located apartment. Situated a block from the exquisite Luxembourg Gardens, it is also within a fifteen minute's walk, or less, from a host of fine, well-priced neighborhood restaurants, three markets, and two separate metro lines, not to mention across the street from an all-too-tempting bakery/café. We love to explore neighborhoods, and this apartment allows for so many enjoyable options--down the Blvd. Raspail, the gallery-rich Rue Bonaparte or Rue de Seine, the Rue de Sevres with its shops, or through the Luxembourg to Montparnasse. The apartment itself was an integral part of our enjoyable stay. Warm and cozy, with a comfortable bed and sofa, modern, fully-equipped kitchen, a terrific shower with instantaneous hot water, and heaters that worked perfectly to take the morning chill off, as well as free wifi and phone, it was a pleasurable oasis from which to launch our day and in which to end it. And we cannot imagine better, more caring, responsive, friendlier owners--thoroughgoing professionals. Thank you for a delightful stay!
What a gem this apartment is! Elevator to top floor is a special plus and then you open the door to a sun- filled, airy, quiet and "spacious" (by Paris standards) place. It feels like an artist's studio with floor to (high) ceiling windows overlooking a quiet courtyard (and Parisian rooftops). The well equipped kitchen, free wifi and phone, comfortable couch and a very cozy bed make it a joy to come "home" to. It is also perfectly located a block away from Luxembourg gardens in what I think is the best arrondissement in Paris. Close enough to access all the great sights but in the midst of a safe, lovely, peaceful neighborhood. The owners are great - easy to work with and so nice! I have had the pleasure of staying in this apartment several times and always look forward to the next time...
We have just returned from ten days in this lovely apartment. The building is perfectly located, close to all transportation and wonderful neighborhood shops and places to relax over afternoon tea. The best part is the proximity to Luxembourg Gardens. We spent many afternoons walking and people watching in our favorite location. We visit Paris every November-December and this was our most relaxing trip. Maysa, the local agent was gracious and full of information. It begins on a quiet street in a safe neighborhood, one block from the amazing Luxembourg Gardens, across the street from Bread & Roses, a small restaurant/bakery with delicious offerings, 1/2 block from a store with fresh produce and with many full-service food markets and patisseries within a few blocks. You enter through beautiful big green doors into a courtyard, through another beautiful door, ride up a small elevator (or walk the spiral staircase) to the 6th floor where you open your door to a light-filled, spacious room with everything you need to be comfortable. Everyday, we enjoyed that homecoming. We loved the modern, streamlined kitchen against the wall - the electric stovetop, glass counters, sink, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, everything for food prep and eating and plenty of storage for food. As light streams down from the skylight and through the big windows, you can lounge on the comfortable couches, watch the TV, listen to music, surf the Internet or chat with friends anywhere in the world on the free phone. In the small bedroom which has its own window and door, I slept soundly in the very comfortable bed. My friend was equally comfortable in the couch-bed and the couch is easy to manage as all the cushions are built in. The ceilings are high; a breeze blows gently through when the windows are open; the curtains give privacy as needed and add to the decor. Care has been taken to preserve the details of the past - the beamed ceiling, the woodwork, the old glass in the windows, the wood floor - yet all the modern conveniences have been thoughtfully added. The bathoom has the best shower I have ever experienced, a huge plus, and a towel warmer/heater which you can adjust to your needs.
Getting around is so easy. We walked pretty much everywhere, but there are metro and bus stops close by which go to every corner of Paris. If you want to see Parisiens living their everyday lives, you can pull up a chair in the Luxembourg Gardens and share their pleasure in the outdoors. Or you can hang out in one of the many cafes or cruise the shops only a few blocks away.
Pary, the owner, and Maysa, the helpful, charming representative, took excellent care of my friend and me during our five-week stay. Maysa met us on our arrival and helped us out whenever we had questions. That first morning, she even took me for a walk through the neighborhood.
We highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to experience Paris inside and out.
