We stayed for four weeks in June 2018 and would give this apartment six stars if we could. Rod and Di have provided everything needed for a long or short stay. The briefing by Di on arrival was excellent. There were leaflets covering everything in the surrounding area, which is ideal for a visitor. The description on the listing is accurate and we would add that the bed is very comfortable.

We had a issue with the WiFi and Rod was on to it immediately. The only delay was BT in fixing the problem. Rod’s offer to use his own system in the interim typified their approach to customer service.

Pershore is a quieter town but has all the services needed on a daily basis. Its location in Worcestershire is excellent for anyone wanting to explore the surrounding counties and into Wales. On many days we travelled some distance away and it was refreshing to return to a very comfortable environment for a peaceful evening. It is very quiet at night and nice to wake in the morning to birds singing.

We would have no hesitation in returning again and would recommend it to our closest friends. With full confidence that they would have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Thank you Rod and Di for an excellent stay and we wish you well with this venture which with your approach can only be a success.

Good clean adequate facilities but needs improvements

  • 3 of 5

Overall facilities ok but shower mediocre no real pressure and a bit like being on a small boat. Heating electric and on a timer which I was constantly reminded not to override despite the worst weather this century. I found this irksome pathetic and at times quite chilly considering I was paying a premium price I expected warmth!! The duvet was 1980’s style but the bed was comfortable. Also there was light pollution from the archaic equipment which also kept me awake at night. What upset me most was that they would frequently enter my apartment and turn off the heating. Not acceptable.

Owner's Response: A difficult guest who stretched the bounds of our hospitality. Meadow Wood Mews was converted into a Holiday Letting apartment and first occupied in July 2014. At this time every item of furniture, fittings, electrical equipment and inventory was brand new, to describe the equipment as archaic is therefore incorrect. The duvet was replaced last year with a 15 Tog king size, it is not a 1980's style whatever that is!. An additional blanket was provided in the wardrobe and a coverlet supplied. Regarding the shower, this is a Mira electric shower operated by mains water pressure, all previous guests have been quite happy with the performance. Regarding light pollution the only source of this in our Studio Apartment is the clock on the microwave which can simply be turned off at the mains! Regarding the heating, When the guest arrived he was shown the controls and suggested he operated the boost button if he required extra heat. He obviously failed to understand this simple instruction. He insisted on overriding the timer and having the heating on all day and all night despite being at work for at least 10 hours a day. The electric heating is rated at 3Kw and therefore was needlessly using 30KW a day or £4.50 of heat wasted. We politely asked him to follow the written instructions in the apartment but he refused. The guest also failed to recycle his waste into the correct bins Our rental terms are that we supply all services free of charge, we ask our guests to respect this offer. This guest blatantly refused to do so. The guest stayed with us for 2 month when his mobile home was not available. At no time during his stay did he complain of any of the items he has listed.
