Condo, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

This first floor, New Mexican-styled condominium is located in an intimate condo complex (just 6 single story units) on a quiet street, which backs up to a large horse pasture and is an easy walk to the historic Taos Plaza. This property was completely remodeled in 2003, and features a beautiful adobe-walled private patio, where you may choose to relax and read a favorite book, enjoy your morning coffee, or chat with friends. This private patio features a bistro-style table & chairs with shade umbrella, as well as a picnic table for additional seating or setting up your breakfast or happy hour buffet. A chiminea fireplace in the corner of the patio provides the perfect ambiance on a cool New Mexican evening.

This cozy condo offers a nicely equipped and bright kitchen, an adjoining living room with a new full-size sleeper sofa, television (cable & DVD), wifi, southwestern art, and additional storage. The bedroom features a comfortable queen bed and built-in drawers and closets, television (cable & DVD). Wood and tile floors throughout the unit, and the bathroom features a tiled walk-in shower, as well as laundry facilities.

From the condo, you can walk to art galleries & working studios, the local micro brew pub (Eske's), as well as many excellent restaurants and shops. Be sure to visit the Farmer's Market, which takes place each Saturday from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. starting May 12th and ending in late October, in the town hall parking lot next to the library. By car, visit the Taos Pueblo located just minutes away, or explore Santa Fe, less than 2 hours south. Local outdoor activities include hiking, snowshoeing, road and mountain biking, downhill and cross country skiing, and sledding, snowboarding at Red River Ski Area or Angel Fire Resort, and skiing at Taos Ski Valley (TSV). 'TSV remains one of the few family owned and operated ski resorts in North America'.

Throughout the year you will find a variety of food, music, art and fiber/weaving festivals taking place in and around Taos.

Enjoy Taos!

About Joanne Meester

I'm a retired teacher and a librarian, married for 30 years. My husband and I have one child and two grandchildren. We have been vacationing in Taos for over 30 plus years and finally decided to purchase a condo near the Taos Plaza, so that we could be in walking distance of the downtown area.

What makes this condo unique

Our condo is close to the plaza on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood. This small one bedroom condo is in a nicely landscaped complex of six condos; the year-round neighbors are exceptionally nice. The original adobe structure is over 100 years, and was remodeled in 2003. What a history that 100 years must house. You'll enjoy a great kitchen and a lovely patio area with a high fenced area for privacy. There's a barbeque and fireplace on the patio and the sun shines early in the morning providing a fabulous place to enjoy your coffee and breakfast.

this unique Adobe condo was perfect for our get away!

The condo was close to the plaza, but on a quiet side street. We loved the private patio. Really enjoyed the chiminaya on the chilly evenings. Everything we needed was provided.

Enjoyed our stay

  • 4 of 5

The property description was accurate, and the property was clean and well-maintained. The owner is terrific to deal with and very responsive to questions. We loved eating breakfast on the patio. One drawback was no screen door on the front, which would have been great for fresh air ventilation, but we did have air conditioning. We enjoyed being close to the Plaza.

Charming Casita!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed here the weekend that Alabama Shakes came to town. We visit Taos often and really enjoyed this casita! It's a great location - walking distance to town - and had everything we needed! We would definitely go back!

Wonderful restoration of an adobe home.

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful restoration of an old adobe home. Heat is from a small gas fireplace, so it takes awhile to heat in the winter--plenty of blankets though. Very comfortable sofa bed. Amazing utilization of space and interesting art work file those spaces. Must be fantastic in spring, summer and fall considering the location in the historic city center amid restaurants and galleries. Would also allow use of the walled garden and outdoor fireplace. Parking on site is a serious plus in this area of narrow streets with no parking. Great kitchen and well stocked with cooking equipment and staples.
