Double D Acres is a beautiful home located in Oakland, KY on a 150+ acre farm. It is only two minutes from I-65 south to Bowling Green/Nashville, five minutes from I-65 north to Louisville/Lexington, 10 minutes from the Corvette Museum, and 20 minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park, Nolin Lake, Beech Bend Raceway, and Western Kentucky University. It is centrally located between Nashville, TN and Louisville, KY. We are excited to host travelers from a variety of backgrounds and interests!
The Space
The house has one king-size bed and two queen-size beds. There are two full-size bathrooms and one half bathroom. The kitchen has a pub table and four chairs, and there is a formal dining room with a full-size table and six chairs. The family room opens onto an outside deck with benches. There are games, puzzles, word search books, and coloring books to entertain you, along with magazines, pamphlets, and the SOKY Magazine, which offers a monthly calendar for all the daily/nightly events in Bowling Green and surrounding cities. You will also find a beautiful sitting room where you can enjoy an awesome view of the farm outside the bay window.
Within walking distance of this home, you will find on this farm, a high school regulation-size basketball court, child-sized basketball court with goal, and a pond.
Guest Access
Guests have access to the entire home with the exception of the basement and the garage.
Interaction with Guests
We live in a separate home next door to the house and will be available at almost any time.
Other Things to Note
While we do not have cable TV, we do have an antenna which provides a variety of channels, including the major networks of ABC, NBC, and CBS. Wifi service is available. There are televisions in the kitchen, family room, and master bedroom.
