Villa Sarita very comfortably sleeps up to seven people, with space in the living room for another adult or additional children if needed.
The main house sleeps five, having one double bedroom, a twin room and a single bedroom, each is air-conditioned and has its own en-suite bathroom. The separate casita has one air-conditioned double bedroom, which is next to its own bathroom and has direct access to a private roof terrace with far reaching views of the mountains. The large casita living room has a double day-bed, a double sofa-bed and a single sofa-bed. It also has its own dedicated bathroom. The casita has a small kitchen/dining room opening onto a dining terrace with a brick-built barbecue. We also have a wooden baby cot and a travel cot, and two high-chairs.
The wonderful Moroccan-styled terrace of the main house provides shade and shelter to enjoy sitting outside at any time of year. Steps lead up to a second outside dining area. Enjoy summer evenings cooking your meals on the built-in barbecue, or in cooler months, use it for warmth as you sit long into the night.
My husband and I are an English couple, but have lived in Germany for the last eight years. We have two teenage children and a dog.
We bought the villa in the spring of 2015, and have been renting it out successfully since then. We've also been letting out a short-term holiday flat in central London for four years, receiving many excellent reviews for quality and service, and have used this experience to try to think of many little extras.
Sue McIntosh purchased this villa in 2014
Our children are close to moving on to the next stage in their lives, and we wanted somewhere special to entice them back to for holidays with us! We have only just bought Villa Sarita, and are really excited about being able to spend time there. We know and love Pollensa and the Almadrava area very well, and when looking to buy somewhere, we were delighted to discover the traditional, quiet village of Buger. It is a short drive to everywhere we know, but unlike villas we have rented in the Almadrava, ours is within easy walking distance to its own village complete with bakery, bar, shops and Saturday market, yet is still totally peaceful and secluded.
The previous owner has rented the property for over ten years, and has built up a good reputation for having made this a wonderful place to spend a holiday. We intend to continue to build on her experience and to do everything we can to ensure you have a fantastic stay.
Villa Sarita is wonderfully secluded and rural, with fantastic mountain views, yet a short walk to a bakery and small supermarket.
The gardens are full of fruit, nut and palm trees, and a herb garden and cactus garden edge the pool terrace.
There are many terraces and seating areas to either come together as a big group, or hide yourself away for a quiet read.
Peacefull and relaxing stay away from all the tourist areas. Feeling the real Mallorca.
Beautiful house and a great pool.
Had a perfect and wonderful Holliday with all the family.
Excellent family holiday in stunning surroundings of the Buger area, the village is lovely with it's church, bakery, a few small bars and a restaurant just a 10 minute walk from the villa. The villa and the Casita are ideal for two families set in private grounds with wonderful view of the mountains as a backdrop. With the towns of Alcudia and Pollensa just a 20 minute drive from Buger along with it's beaches just a short drive from these towns provides an alternative. Excellent wifi connection to keep the folks back home informed.
What a find! Villa Sarita was perfect for our family holiday. It is such a comfortable and tastefully furnished villa, and set in large beautiful well kept grounds. The bedrooms and bathrooms were lovely and the big family room has an open fire in the corner which made it very cosy in the (October) evenings. There were plenty of books, magazines and some games, as well as good wifi.
The large grounds made it feel very private, despite being only a short walk into the unspoilt little village of Buger, which has all the essentials without any tourists. Feels very authentic! The pool was excellent being big enough to have a lot of fun in and deep enough for diving and jumping- our boys totally loved it, and it was very relaxing for us! The beautiful garden has a wide variety of trees, plants and herbs, as well as several options of paved areas with tables and chairs for sitting and relaxing outside.
The location was great as it made exploring the island in any direction an easy option. The popular towns of Pollenca and Alcudia are very close.
The owner, Sue, was great to deal with. We would definitely recommend a visit here!
We spent three unforgetable weeks in Villa Serita. We were two couples, staying in the main house, for one week two sons withh their girlfriends came for a visit for one week, they stayed in the casita.
The houses are so well equiped, everything is perfetly built with natural materials, and the garden and pool area are clean, so we felt " at home" from the first hour of the stay. And so we felt every time when we came back from the beach, from golfing, dining or an excursion.
The pool and the area around were cleaned every third day which was absolutly perfect.
I liked my walks in the morning to the panaderia for an early cortado and to buy the " rusticas" for the day, talking some words with the always friendly people of Búger.
If we think about a next stay in a Finca on Mallorca, there is no doubt, that we try to be admitted to rent Villa Sarita again.
Sue, thanks a lot for your support in answering all my questions comprehensivly!!
The property was easily located in peaceful rural surroundings. Well equipped, clean, perhaps a litte more indoors stairs than we had reckoned with. The wifi connection was deplorable, but that is obviously a common occurence on the island. The pool area was clean, tidy and well provided with chairs etc and we spent severly hours there. We saw no neighbours but heard cocks, dogs and occasional sheep with bells. The village didn´t provide much apart from the bakery, but nearby S:a Pobla has a marvellous Sunday Market as well as several supermarkets.
Inca is quite good for shopping and eating. If your nerves are under control try driving to Cap Formentor, fantastic views!
The Pont Roma in Pollenca is a joke, if you expect anything resembling Pont de Gare you´re in for a laugh.
Pont de Pollenca is very nice, especially the northern stretch. Alcudia and its bay overexploited.
The island is infested with bicycles WHICH HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY EVEN IN ROUND-ABOUTS!! Otherwise there is no problem with the traffic, the island is so small that nobody is really in a hurry.
Villa Sarita is a dream. Everything is exactly like the pictures show. The home is very good equiped, the pool is a dream, but the best is the quiet and idyllic garden and surroundings. We wanted somewhere private & peaceful and Villa Sarita was exactly like that. We (7 people))cooked with the herbs out of the garden and loved sitting at the pool late at night. There is no doubt..we'll be back. Thanks, Sue for your information at all times and having us as your guests in this wonderful house.
Authentic rural Mallorca countryside, but a drive of just over 10 minutes takes you into the charming small town of Pollensa where you will find many chic new restaurants and bars side-by-side with traditional family run tapas bars.
A five minute walk from the villa into Buger gives you access to some traditional cafes, a fantastic bakery and a small supermarket. There is also a Saturday morning market with wonderfully fresh produce, cheeses and local sausages etc.
The northern coast and the beach of Puerto Pollenca is just a 20 minute drive away, and here you can simply rent a lounger and sun umbrella on the lovely long sandy beach, or the more adventurous can hire sailing boats/dinghies, wind surfing boards or try water skiing.
For golfers, Pollenca Golf Club is just a 15 minute drive away, and Alcanada Golf Club only 20 minutes by car. There is a beautiful nine hole course with wonderful views just a ten minute drive from the property.
The historic city of Palma is a 30 minute drive.
It's definitely off the beaten track, authentic rural Mallorca at its best, but really close to everywhere and there are a couple of small supermarkets in the next village of Campanet plus a good bar with good local food. We are less than 10 mins to Inca with great shopping, and its famous Thursday market. 5 minutes in the opposite direction, you will find Sa Pobla where one can find anything you could want except maybe high fashion! Pollensa old town and the ancient city of Alcudia will satisfy any other shopping desires!
