About Kelley Hagerty

My mother, husband and I purchased this beautiful home as a family get away. Our large extended family enjoys escaping from fast paced lives at The Great Aspen Chateaux I am pictured here with our our twin sons who came into the world in late 2012.

Kelley Hagerty purchased this chalet in 2006

Why Kelley Hagerty chose Black Mountain

We purchased this property as it is near our other family home. (vrbo 81207) We needed more room for large family gatherings.

What makes this chalet unique

The greatest asset of this house is the view. It is enjoyable to be sit with family or friends on the decks relaxing with peaceful nature!

A lovely place to stay

  • 4 of 5

This home is very spacious and well-appointed. There is plenty of room for a large family or a group of smaller families or friends to stay comfortably without sacrificing privacy or comfort. The mountain view is just spectacular, and it changes constantly! It's a rugged area, so walking around the neighborhood is fairly strenous. The location is very close to lots of fun activities, including (reasonably priced) golf, swimming, hiking, and dining. There are some lovely shops and great restaurants in the town of Black Mountain, and Asheville with all it has to offer is a short drive away. If you've never been to the Biltmore estate, it's a must-see destination as well. Overall my extended family and I really enjoyed this home in the mountains of North Carolina, and we recommend it to others.

Wonderful gathering place!

  • 5 of 5

This property was just beautiful. Every year our family meets at a different location. There was not one person in our group that didn't enjoy this place. The pool table and game room we enjoyed daily. Hiking was on the agenda, many gorgeous place for that. We would do this again! Plenty of wildlife to see!

30 Aspen Way Home

  • 5 of 5

This home is beautiful......we had sooo much room for our family of 14. The view from the house is amazing. The house has two dryers which came in handy for our large family. Also, a nice secluded hot tub is available for an extra fee. We didn't get get to enjoy this but it an nice option! We have 6 kids that shared the bedroom with 3 bunk beds..each child had their own bed and they had a blast. Our family also consist of 8 adults and each couple had privacy of their own bedrooms. Lots of memories made at this house!!! We did lots of hiking and seen several beautiful waterfalls.... visited the Biltmore Estates, and a nice boat ride on Lure Lake as well as some of us went Whitewater rafting!! Excellent time for all!!

A stay in the clouds

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four daughters two son in-law,s and six grandchildren had a great time with plenty of room to spare in your spacious home. We found the home very clean and well kept. You are able to get to many of North Carolina''s attractions within an hour of travel. Did I mention the incredible veiws from the top deck really unbelievable🙌򣀠The only thing that would have helped at meal time was some serving bowls and a couple of platers. Overall if you are looking for a home away from home this is the place!

Thank you Kellie for sharing your home

Wonderful House.....If Your Looking For a Home Away From Home....You've Found It!

  • 5 of 5

Let me begin by saying ....Our Family loves to travel! And thankfully our job schedule allows for frequent vacation getaways of various lengths. When possible, we prefer to stay in private homes/rentals rather than hotels/motels.

When the initial planning for our 2016 Summer Family Reunion came up and we found out it would be held near Asheville, NC , we started looking for a place that would hold our whole crew of at one point during the week, almost 30 people counting kids.

After looking at a few, offered through both Home Away and other rental agencies, the one of particular interest was the Asheville Mountain Chateaux.

COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HAPPY WITH OUR CHOICE!

From my initial email with the owner Kelley, through check-out day, my communication was wonderful and the information provided was extremely helpful.

Anyone reading this that has ever rented is aware good, honest information is key between renter and owner, and today, sadly is lacking most of the time. Not so with Kelley, she was a delight to deal with, and helped us out with several last minute changes all with a great attitude.

The House: Beautiful very large home primarily split between an Upstairs and Downstairs (ground level) . On the Upstairs level, a very large kitchen, with extremely large island counter area, which was wonderful for additional family sitting around while a large family style meal or breakfast were being prepared. Everyone knows while entertaining or cooking, EVERYONE wants to be in and around the kitchen :). Off of the kitchen there is a very nice porch with tables and chairs, a great spot to enjoy a lazy morning with a cup of coffee and some conversation. Living room with gas fireplace also on this floor, along with a private queen bedroom/bath as well as the Master King Bedroom and very large private bath.

Downstairs (ground level) is a pool table game room, with tv...and 4 more bedrooms, one of which is what i would call a "bunk style" room where it has 3 full beds with twins on top as bunkbeds.... while I didn't sleep in there, from what I heard the beds were extremely comfortable.

The View: In a word... UNBELIEVABLE! from almost any window or porch in the house the mountain view is amazing. You will not be disappointed. One person in our party after returning home, took one of the photos we had looking out the front of the house and had it put on canvas to put on the wall in her home.

If your Looking THIS HOME IS IT! Highly Recommended
