My wife and I stayed for four nights. Wendy was always ready to assist us to make our stay enjoyable. She greatly helped us plan our trip to Monaco for the Grand Prix....just a short drive to Gare de Cagnes sur Mare and away we went. She also recommended a spot in Portovenerie, Italy that turned out to be spectacular. The views are wonderful and the location is quiet and peaceful while still being very close to everything we wanted to do and see. Breakfasts were very good and filled with plenty of fresh fruit, croissants and coffee as well as cheese, yogurts etc.! Pool and deck make a great spot to hang out and relax. Rooms very clean and comfortable.
My wife and I and another couple + our little dog spent six nights as guests of Wendy the charming owner of this B&B. We have only good things to report. The house was nicely furnished as was our room which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The room came with a queen sized bed. For Americans not familiar with French accommodations, more often you get a double. The breakfasts of juice, croissants, baguettes, cheese, butter, jams coffee and tea was very satisfying. The infinity pool was refreshing. The view across the valley to St. Paul was picturesque. Most important - Wendy was very helpful when we needed advice of all kinds. She even made a call to Corsica to help us when friends, who were planning on meeting us there, were unable to join us. Highly recommended.
We stayed at Le Mas des Amandiers for 3 nights at the beginning of our European Vacation. Owner's directions to the bed and breakfast were accurate and easy to follow. We are a family of 5 and stayed in the L'Abricotier suite. Comfortable for all of us, so close to Nice, Monaco, Eze . Wonderful view of St. Paul de Vence (a must see) Our teenagers loved coming back to the place and going for a swim in the pool. Wendy is a wonderful hostess, assisting us with whatever questions we had about the area and making us feel at home. Room was very clean and comfortable. We had such a wonderful, relaxing time at Le Mas Des Amandiers we wish we would have booked a few extra days at the end of our month-long vacation.
We stayed in the L'abricotier room with my 2 little kids. We absolutely loved the place!! My kids had a great time in the pool and we went swimming everyday! Wendy (the hostess) was extremely friendly and very helpful. She would tell us places to go and when to go see them to help avoid the crowds.
We have recommended her place to my sister-in-law/husband and they loved it as well! I would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to have a great time in St. Paul de Vence area!!
This spot was a little gem while we toured Nice, Monaco & Monte Carlo. Upon arrival we were greeted by our host Wendy who speaks excellent English, has a wonderful positive, cheery attitude. She gave us suggestions on how to tour Nice where to park, etc. We drove into Nice and parked in the port which was no problem and took bus #100 for $1Euro and it took us right along the coast up to Monaco. This bed & breakfast was a spot we wished we had found earlier, it was so relaxing sitting outside out room, overlooking the pool and unto the beautiful lights of the village of St. Paul de Vence. The great thing was the accomodation is completely separate from the living quarters not like any other bed & breakfast we have stayed in. While we ate breakfast in the separate dining room overlooking the pool we asked her all kinds of questions about the area and things to do. Dont miss it, we have travelled alot and this truly is a gem, you wont be disappointed, weather touring or just relaxing. Also the pictures do not begin to do this place justice it is superior like a lovely Spanish chalet.
The perched village of St Paul de Vence and the famous Fondation Maeght modern art museum are both about 2 kilometres away.
Nearby too are Antibes (15 km), Nice (17km), Grasse (21 km), Cannes (26 km), Monaco (35 km), Cap Ferrat, Ezes, and, for that matter Italy, including the famous Ventimiglia and San Remo markets. The closest beaches are 5 kilometres away, and for children (of all ages!), Marineland is 9 km away.
