Mimosa is a great value 3 bedroom villa in a fantastic location with breathtaking views. The house is in an elevated position on the winding road from Polis to the mountain village of Lysos and close to the villages of Steni and Peristerona. The views over the Evruoto Dam are outstanding and in the other direction there are views over the olive and citrus groves to the Akamas coastline and the Blue Lagoon.
The house close to the mountain village of Peristerona, which is famous for maintaining the beauty and traditions of Cyprus. The soft, undulating hills are covered in vines, olive trees, wild flowers and herbs. We highly recommended taking the old road from Peristerona to Lysos village and then down to Pelathousa and on to Polis -the drive is absolutely beautiful.
This pretty villa is perfect for couples or small families. It has a large wooden pagoda with BBQ for al-fresco dining which has fabulous views towards the Lake and the sea and guests can relax on the outdoor sofas overlooking the pool in the evenings, in the pergola gently lit with oil lamps and candle lanterns.
The house is gated and the pool and pergola are not overlooked.
The house is a private home which is used as a holiday villa when the owners are on business trips or visiting family in the UK. .
There is free wi fi in the house and also from the pergola,
All towels, pool towels and linen are included as also are the services of our British management company who will be available from the moment you touch down in Cyprus if you need any assistance or information.
Air conditioning is included up to a fair usage policy which includes air conditioning units on at night in the bedrooms booked.
There is a winding road running past the house to the pretty village of Peristerona which has a small shop and a Taverna and on to the beautiful mountain village of Lysos, where there is a general store, traditional Cypriot Taverna and horse riding through the mountain trails. There can be some road noise from local traffic into the village during the day and if this bothers you please take this into consideration as we really want our guests to have a wonderful holiday. The lovely, little village of Steni is also just a couple of minutes drive away and has a small, family run Taverna, which, in our opinion serves the best food on the island.
Mimosa is furnished in traditional Cypriot style and has an open plan kitchen/ living area , (there is a set top box with can deliver UK television, but we have to say that sometimes the internet is slow at certain times of the day.. Hey, this is Cyprus!) However, there is free wifi . The sitting room leads on to the pool terrace and the outdoor sofas. There are great views over the Dam, the mountains and the sea from here. There is also a downstairs bedroom and bathroom so it's great for guests with limited mobility.
Upstairs is a second bathroom, a small balcony overlooking the rose garden and small Mediterranean fruit orchard and two bedrooms, one double, one twin, both with balconies overlooking the pool and the mountains to the sea..
We can arrange car hire for you and offer a service where you can be collected from the airport and your hire car delivered to the villa. This is fantastic if you arrive late and are tired and don't fancy the 40 minute drive. Please ask for details.
The old town of Polis with its cobbled square and markets is just a ten minute drive, as are the lovely beaches. Latchi Marina is a new cosmopolitan marina just a ten minute drive away. Trendy bars and bistros line the harbour and family cafes serve English breakfasts . Boat hire is available and you can take a small boat around the Akamas coast and moor at the Blue Lagoon for a swim and a picinc and maybe some snorkelling. For kids ( big kids) there are watersports and banana boat rides. Also, there is a certified PADI dive center and fishing trips.
Mountain vineyards, mountain trails and little hidden villages are also a short drive from the villa.
The Baths of Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, is around a 10 minute drive. According to legend, after swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Bay, Aphrodite used to bathe in this pond, surrounded by idyllic landscape with the sweet smelling wild flowers. It is here that she met her beloved Adonis for the first time. There are fantastic views over Polis bay.
This is a great value, pretty little villa which is suitable for couples or small families.
This little house is our own home which we love dearly. The location is great, with Polis only a short drive and daily items available from the little villages. The coast, mountains and vineyards and all just a short drive and the airport is only a 40 minute drive.
We have a tourism business in the UK and so holiday let our property during the summer when we know we will be away on business trips and visiting family back in Cornwall.
The house is private and gated and the pool is not overlooked. The main features of the house are the amazing views .The house, pool, gardens and balconies all have spectacular views over the dam, the olive and citrus groves towards the mountains and the sea.
This was our second time at the villa and it's perfect, you have everything you need here, lovely villa and great outdoors areas all around the villa, the views are amazing from villa set on the hillside, you can see the coast, the dam, the reservoir and the rolling hills of the countryside. You can enjoy a day lounging around the pool in the sun, then light the BBQ and watch the sun go down, the sunsets are amazing from here. Locally you have a restaurant just down the road called the Watermill, a lovely place to visit for a drink or a meal and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Shopping and restaurants in Polis and Latchi with all the restaurants being good. The beach is a short drive with plenty of places to eat and drink. We'll definitely be returning for another visit.

In der Villa findet man alles, was man braucht.
