Fuzeta / Fuseta is a traditional fishing village, with superb beaches and views over the Isla de Armona & Ria Formosa National Park. Our apartment situated on the Fuzeta Ria is an ideal place to unwind and have a break from it all in some of the most beautiful surroundings. The apartment boasts window views over the lagoon & sea. With access to unspoilt areas of natural beauty and only 30 minutes from Faro airport. The apartment is only a couple of years old and is positioned on a development of 30 apartments and 20 town houses built to very high specifications with a quality finish. A private tiled garden with sun loungers & table+chairs, two spacious bedrooms, one with large en-suite, open airy living area with dining area and fully equipped kitchen, the apartment has everything you need for a great stay in this undiscovered region of the Algarve. The local town is a 10 minute walk away and the bigger towns of Olhao and Tavira are within easy reach by either train or car.

Accommodation description

Bedrooms:

Bedroom 1 with double bed, triple fitted wardrobe, large en-suite bathroom with double shower & bidet.

Bedroom 2 with 2 single beds (can be pushed together), triple fitted wardrobe.

Both bedrooms have full height sliding doors to the tiled garden.

Bathrooms:

En-suite to bedroom 1 fully tiled to include WC, double shower, bidet and wash basin with large wall mounted mirror.

Family bathroom fully tiled with WC, shower cubicle and wash basin with large wall mounted mirror.

Kitchen:

Fully equipped and spacious with oven, hob, marble work tops, integrated microwave, washing machine, large fridge/freezer. All kitchen utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware, kettle, coffee percolator and toaster. Cool bag with ice-packs. First aid box

Utility Room:

Beach towels (please launder before leaving or an additional charge of €15 will be deducted from the breakage deposit), boogie board, skim-board, buckets and spades, beach sun tent are all available for use.

Living Rooms:

Panoramic open plan living & dining area, fully glass fronted floor to ceiling windows offering fantastic sea views. Furnished with 2 large sofas (1 fold out sleeper sofa bed). TV with local Channels, DVD & Wii. Dining table, 6 chairs and coffee table.

Cleaning/Towels/Linen/Maid service:

Bath towels & linen are included. Property is cleaned and laundry completed at end of stay. Additional cleaning & Airport pick-up and drop off can be provided at cost. Beach towels are provided but need to be washed before leaving or will be charged for.

Accessibility

This ground floor apartment is suitable for disabled, elderly or infirm people. Fuzeta and the surrounding area is reasonably flat, access to the town on foot does not require use of steps or stairways. The sofa bed in the living area is more suitable to one adult or 2 children. Parking is available directly outside the apartment. The train station (Fuzeta-A) is an 8 minute stroll from the apartment.

Large private tiled garden with glass topped garden table, umbrella and 6 chairs. Tap with shower function and 4 sun beds. Communal gardens to Portuguese stone and grass with benches to sit and admire the views or watch the sun go down with a glass of the local vino. Communal swimming pool with sunbathing areas and an infinity pool with superb sea views, tastefully landscaped surrounding area. Car parking spaces.

The apartment is based on the ground floor & accessed by lobby, video door entry system. Located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac. Bright airy rooms fully air-conditioned. Laminated wood floors to bedrooms and hallway. Ceramic floor tiles to living area. Fully tiled bathrooms, both fitted with shower cubicles, the en-suite being a double. Front-line location with great views of the lagoon, the Ilha De Armona and the swimming pools from the lounge. Please note, no pets and no smokers. You are welcome to smoke in the garden only. No smoking indoors.

We were once hardcore holiday campers in the UK but got tired of holidays ruined by grey skies and constant rain. We love the beach and we are all keen swimmers and wanted a place that we thought would appeal to potential guests and that we wanted to go back to time and time again. We haven't been disappointed yet. We love Fuzeta and its laid back, child friendly feel and have even got the stickers to prove it!

Why Alan Bawden chose Olhao region

We looked around the Algarve for a place that boasted fantastic beaches, somewhere that wasn't overdeveloped and still retained a bit of 'old Portugal' and was still family orientated. There is a marina and village with excellent, simple bars and restaurants with great seafood and seriously good prices to boot. There is something for everyone here, several nearby quality golf courses, water parks, horse riding and water sports. We also regularly use the local train service and haven't hired a car for our last 3 stays. Faro Airport is mere 25 minutes drive away.

What makes this apartment unique

The traditional fishing village of Fuzeta is uncommercialised and is truly laid back and chilled. Constant sea views of the the Fuseta Ria National Park (an ornotholgists paradise) and the Isla de Armona from the lounge and around the grounds of the property are hard to beat. Set within a boutique development, it is quiet, luxurious and has a definite wow factor. 2 pools including a roof top infinity pool is available for use. There are several grocery shops and a fresh food market only 10 minutes walk from the apartment and one of the best beaches a short ferry ride away. The apartment has air conditioning through out, massive floor to ceiling windows and a secure video door entry access system. The private garden at the back allows you to enjoy the almost continuous Portuguese sun.

Everything you need for a relaxing sunny getaway.

The accommodation was clean, comfortable and quiet. It had everything you need from the practical (washing machine) to the essential (swimming pool). The sleepy village was a short walk and was filled with coffee shops selling amazing pastries and restaurants selling local dishes. If that becomes too much a short and inexpensive ferry ride takes you to massive beach with the softest sand. There are other activities available in the area but we didn't have a chance to experience them all. I highly recommend taking advantage of this rental as the owners are friendly and the property is well managed. It provides an ideal base to explore the area and experience the culture, or just to relax.
