About this property

The Mettā Home- A Nugget of History & Goodwill

Summary:
The Metta Home is our historic sanctuary built in 1895. Trending with 2 bedrooms, original pine floors & vibrant colors throughout, a visual representation of not what but how we think, of metta- good will, loving kindness, & a sincere wish of peace for all who enter. Appointed w/ our luxury Metta Home bamboo textiles & all of the amenities we value in our own routines, we want you to love your stay so much you bring the Metta home! Steps to amazing views of the city & acclaimed dining!

The Space:
Our old home is located on a quiet block in historic Church Hill. We love our space and hope that you will too! It was built in 1895 for the son of the of Mr. and Mrs. Hudson, their house is right next door! The flow of the home is spacious and fluid and it gets great natural light. The entire house excluding the bathrooms, has original pine hardwood floors. We ask that you remove your shoes when coming in the house to help preserve their beauty.
On the first floor you enter into the living room with sitting area, just past that is the dining room with (wine fridge), a half bath w/ washer & dryer, and then the kitchen equipped with gas stove, fridge, dishwasher, toaster oven and microwave. The first floor ends just off the kitchen at our favorite place in our home- the screened in back porch! We enjoy nothing more than a cup of coffee & bird watching out here in the morning. This is what makes our home feel like our sanctuary for us. Speaking of coffee, please help yourself to the coffee bar equipped with Mettā -Stir Blend coffee roasted locally by Afterglow Co-Op and a selection of creamers, sugars & tea. the kitchen is also fully equipped with cookware, dishes, olive oil, salt & pepper etc.

On the second floor is our den , where you can relax Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon are all loaded on our TV. You may also appreciate that this couch can fold out into a queen sized bed- there are linens stashed under the chaise. To the right at the top of the stairs you'll find one bedroom with a queen bed, through the den and past the bathroom is the primary bedroom with a King sized mattress. Both bedrooms are appointed with Mettā Home organic mattresses, pillows, bamboo silk sheets, duvets and quilts! On this floor you will find the full bath outfitted in Mettā Home towels, washcloths & bathmats as well as our Devotion Shampoo, Conditioner & Shower Gel.

It's perfect if you are looking for a special place located in a stunning walkable neighborhood full of old architecture and just a few blocks to some of Richmond's best restaurants and views form Union Hill, Chimborazo & Jefferson Park!

We are in walking distance to soooo much! And just an easy Uber or Lyft to downtown, the Fan, Carytown, and the trendy Scott's Addition. Have a pup that you can't leave at home? Please message me for inquiries, a $35 non refundable pet fee is required.

*** A $150 additional cleaning fee will changed on longer stays of 14 days or more. **
