Whether you are one or three families, everyone will love staying at Quandary Peak Lodge! This beautiful home built in 2002 sleeps 10 to 14 and offers some of the best views in Summit County. This property offers a relaxing and quiet mountain setting with hiking out your back door and shopping and world-class skiing only 6 miles away in Breckenridge. A free shuttle service picks up from the main road (1/2 mile away) and runs to/from the gondola base on mornings and afternoons.
This 4+ BR/4.5 Bath home has been designer decorated with all new furnishings and linens in a European Chalet style. All the finishes are of the highest quality. Enjoy views of Quandary Peak and Tenmile Range from the 7-person hot tub, relaxing in front of the fireplace or sipping coffee on the front deck.
In addition to its very close proximity to Breckenridge, other top ski resorts (Copper, Vail, Keystone, Beaver Creek, and Arapahoe Basin, and Loveland) are within a 40-60 minute drive. Breckenridge also offers the only Jack Nickolas designed public golf course in the world, and is situated among some of the most revered fly-fishing waters.
On the main level is a fully equipped, oversized gourmet kitchen (granite and stainless steel) that opens to a large dining room. A deck off the kitchen offers a stainless steel grill and outdoor eating area. The expansive great room has a fireplace, entertainment center, wet bar, wine cellar and three conversation areas to accommodate larger groups. This room opens to two decks featuring magnificent views and a hot tub.
The first master bedroom is Tuscan style with private access to the hot tub and gorgeous views of Quandary and the Tenmile Range. It is a massive suite with a king-size bed, entertainment center, work desk and queen sleeper sofa. A magnificent spa-like bathroom features a two-person Jacuzzi jetted tub with forest views, as well as an oversized steam shower.
A second master bedroom decorated in an Austrian Alpine style has beautiful wooded views, a king bed and a private bath with a jetted Jacuzzi tub. This room also has a work desk and can serve as excellent office space. The third master bedroom on this floor features a beautiful queen hickory bed with canopy and a private bathroom with large shower.
Families with children or larger groups will appreciate the two gracious living areas. The lower level offers the Black Bear Bunk Room which sleeps four on two double bunk beds. Up a short flight of stairs is a kids' play area or second family room stocked with games and an entertainment center as well as a full bathroom. This family room can also sleep two people on a queen sleeper.
A huge two-car garage provides plenty of room for loading and unloading vehicles with direct access to a mudroom and the house. We recommend a four-wheel or front-wheel drive in the winter as the Breckenridge area experiences heavy snowfall.

"The setting was so relaxing and so beautiful. We had everything we needed. The house, the mountains..."
Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. The view is spectacular, the bedrooms are spacious with GREAT beds, the kithen is a dream and is stocked with everything you need. This home is beautifully furnished and roomy enough for several families. We loved it and so did our children. We hope to stay here again. Everything you need for a great vacation you will find in this home.Hot tub and steam shower are tops!
Great place! Amazing view, comfy beds, well-appointed kitchen, close to town. Great amenities and very relaxing. Clean on arrival. Be warned: high altitude, significantly higher than the town of Breckenridge. Relevant to those of us visiting from 0 feet above Sea Level.
Prompt, honest and fair owners, courteous in arranging details. Few miles from Breckenridge to home but easy to navigate and has advantage of relative privacy. Spacious 3 level well equipped and maintained home with all necessary amenities in excellent condition. Large hot tub a real asset to my family. Specific details for checking in and out as well as written guidance for home and area a great help to 1st timers. It was a real pleasure from first contact to check out. I wish all travel was as easy and enjoyable and ours was a group of ten from age 4 to 75!
I was looking for a property to bring together my family since we do not live near each other and rarely have the opportunity to all be together at the same time. Having a place that was large enough to allow each family group to have their own space and also have generous and well maintained common space was important. This home met all requirements. We enjoyed the upscale accommodations and the fact that it was close to Breckenridge without having to be right in the middle of the town. An easy drive to town with ability to return to the tranquility of this house makes it ideal for anyone who values privacy and the ability to seek public interaction only when it is on your own terms. Even though we did not use the hot tub often, the owners apparently contract with a service that comes to check and service it a couple times each week. It is that level of concern for continued maintenance the made me appreciate the fact that this is not just another rental, but a source of pride and concern for its continued value that mark the owners' desire to provide a five star accommodation.
The views are incredible and can be seen from almost anywhere in this home. We spotted mountain goats on Quandry peak across the way. I was fortunate enough to find about a dozen of the goats later in the week and take some photos.
The kids loved the National Forest behind the cabin and built forts and had snowball fights. The design and decor of the home is wonderful. The kitchen was huge and well appointed with everything you could possibly need. We cook a lot of meals so the double oven was great. The bedrooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. The hot tub was quite popular among the kids. There's a lot of room to spread out and relax or play games.
The location is great in that you feel secluded but you are only about 15 minutes from town. The owners are great to work with and provide an abundance of information so you are at ease.
We had a blast rafting, fishing, trail riding, and just relaxing in a beautiful setting. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. We definitely look forward to coming back next year.
Being so close to town, you can experience the best of Breckenridge's skiing, dining, and shopping, while also having the privacy and serenity of a mountain lodge. We recommend a 4WD in the winter as the Breckenridge area experiences heavy snowfall.
Other Activities: New, fully equipped recreation center nearby
