The Place To Stay In The Loch Lomond And Trossachs National Park.

Blinkbonnie Apartment is a newly refurbished 1st floor, two bedroomed apartment set in a quiet location in the middle of the small town of Callander. It has private parking and is just 100 metres from the Rob Roy and Loch Lomond National Park information centre. The town of Callander has many privately owned shops and eating houses for your evening entertainment, yet walk or drive less than one mile out of town and you can be in the heart of the Scottish countryside. The apartment is in the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park which is an area designated as “Outstanding Natural Beauty”.

The River Teith is just three hundred metres from the apartment where you can walk, fish or just sit and take in the scenery. At the rear of Blinkbonnie you have Bracklinn Falls and the River Keltie. Both of which are reached via a walk through The Callander Craggs. The Craggs is a mixed woodland forest park with many tracks and trails to follow. If you are feeling energetic you can climb to the summit which is nearly 1000 feet above the town and commands fantastic views in all directions.

One of the most scenic lochs in Scotland is Loch Katrine. Just 20 minutes drive away, where you can take a boat ride, hire cycles or just take a leisurely stroll around the foreshore and look out for the wildlife in the woods or on the water.

There is so much to do around the area of Callander you do not need to travel far. If you wish to see more of Scotland, you could not be based in a more central location. Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, Dundee and Glen Coe within one hours drive and Oban, Fort William and the infamous Loch Ness less than two hours away.

About Dave Lloyd

Sandie and I retired (Ha Ha!!!) February 2013 and thought we would take things easy! It did not happen as we both have had a very active life and once the reality set in we looked for a challenge.

This came when we saw a cottage in the area we have always loved and looked suitable to be promoted as a Holiday Cottage. We purchased Blinkbonnie Cottage (www.BlinkbonnieCottage.com) in July 2013 and set about promoting it as a self catering home. After 35 years selling in the furniture trade, this was the easiest selling job I had ever done! Blinkbonnie Cottage took off!!!

We did not wish to purchase another property, but have always enjoyed our visits to Callander and on one of these occasions we saw a property that we felt had potential as a holiday let. Needless to say, the deal was done within two weeks and a full scale refurbishment took place. With the help, guidance and knowledge of one of my best pals we turned the apartment around in three weeks to what I believe is the best place to stay in Callander. Don't take my word for it, have a look for yourself.

Blinkbonnie Apartment, Callander, Scotland

This apartment is ideally situated in the centre of Callander making it easy to access local shops, restaurants, and pubs. It is also a great place for exploring this part of Scotland. The apartment is in excellent condition( decor and furnishings very up to date) and is very well equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The owners are very helpful and friendly.

Great accommodation in s perfect location

Three of us stayed here for four nights and it was perfect. The in town location was so convenient to shopping, restaurants, and walking along the river.

Callander is a perfect town to use as a base to explore the area. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend Blinkbonnie Apartment.

Idealer Ausgangspunkt für tolle Unternehmungen

Als dreiköpfige Familie waren wir hier eine Woche zu Gast. Wir wurden bereits im voraus mit Informationen versorgt und willkommen geheißen, auch die Übergabe war sehr freundlich.

In der Wohnung haben wir nichts vermisst und der Zustand ist sehr gut. Hervorzuheben ist die zentrale, aber doch ruhige Lage. Zum Bäcker sind es z.B. nur etwa 100 Meter, und auch ein Supermarkt ist in 5 Gehminuten erreicht.

Der Ort eignet sich wunderbar als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Radtouren. Mit dem Auto sind auch das Doune Castle oder Stirling schnell erreicht.

Tolle Unterkunft

Die Wohnung ist zentral gelegen, um viele Ausflüge in Schottland zu unternehmen. Bis zum Ben Nevis, dem höchsten Berg Schottlands, sind es ca. 2h Autofahrt, nach Edinburgh ca. 1h.

In der nahen Umgebung von Callander hat uns die Landschaft mit ihren vielen Lochs und den Bergen ringsherum begeistert.

Callander selbst ist ein sehr schöner Ort. Auch kann man hier wandern.

Die Wohnung war super ausgestattet. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Sie liegt zentral im Ort, unweit der Hauptstraße mit Restaurants, Einkaufsläden und Supermärkten.

Wir hatten hier eine tolle Woche, hatten super Wetter und konnten somit viel von Callander und Schottland bestaunen.
