This picturesque village house is set at the end of a dead-end-lane in the medieval village of Daglan, 10 km from Domme. The house has been tastefully renovated to provide comfortable accommodation for up to 5 guests. Daglan itself is very pretty, with narrow cobbled streets and honey coloured stone houses and shops. It enjoys excellent restaurants, bar, boulangerie, and it's own colourful Sunday market, all set at a very convenient walking distance from the house.Just think: you can lie in bed and send the kids to get the croissants in the mornings!
Layout of the house :
Entrance door opens to the light and spacious living room with stone walls, exposed beams, old stone sink, quality furniture. There is a large collection of videos in English (TV is only for videos) Internet connection (WiFi)
Adjacent is a delightful, large and fully equipped kitchen with terracotta floors and its big farmhouse pine dining table.
French doors lead on to a secluded patio garden complete with garden furniture for those delicious Perigordian al fresco meals, of course!
Large wooden stairs lead to the first floor where there is a double bedroom with an extra large double bed (160cm), a twin bedroom, and a single bedroom, all with wooden flooring and decorated in light colours.
There is also a bathroom with a bath and shower over and a WC on this level.
The golden sandstone walls are 600mm (nearly two feet) thick and this helps keep the house cool in summer. During winter, the house is very cosy thanks to a full oil fired central heating.
