Would not stay again
The property was dirty and needs full renovation. There was water in the shower, the shower doors were having layers of unwashed limestone sediments, the old soap holder has layers of old soaps and rust on it. The floor in the small space that is "sleeping room"+ kitchen also was dirty, had stains on the floor. The walls were cracked, and there was painting peeling of on multiple parts+ mold, there was a part of the step ripped off, missing. Overall this was my first experience with VRBO, and because of such bad experience, I won't try VRBO anymore. The pictures look so much better then the place itself, to the point that they were almost the scam. This place needs a full renovation, and for sure wasn't either new neither clean as it was shown on pictures. The only good thing was location, but I could have gotten something much better for money in the same area, as I stayed in Paris before and know.
Nice apartment for one person and priced very reasonably priced. Clean and neat. Shower small but manageable. Would stay there again.
Value for money, great location
The apartment is cosy and just right for one person. It's clean, quiet and well heated. It's on the 4th floor with no lift. Location is great - walking distance to Eiffel Tower and metro and just around the corner from Rue Cler. Bathroom has smell from drain. No condiments or dishwashing liquid. I bought dishwashing liquid and left it in the apartment so it may still be there. I think it was pretty good value for money.
very clean good location excellent price
I'm not sure what to say because the unit in the picture is not where I stayed. Mine was very small on Rue duvivier near the eiffel tower and astounding low priced. On the other hand, it was very convenient to the metro and while small, an excellent value at only 60 euros a night.
Good location, but bathroom was very dirty at check-in for my stay
I’m a frequent traveller and stayed at many apartments/condo through VRBO in the past 10 years, all my stays were good except this one. I wasn’t expecting anything spotless or unreasonable. I was just expecting basic cleanliness but unfortunately this stay didn’t even meet the basics. This is the very first time I have to provide negative feedback.
- Good location as it's close to metro and restaurants
- Check-in instructions were clear and simple
- Basic kitchen supplies for very light cooking or short stay
- The bathroom was dirty and shower stall had urine smell (2 stars taken away)
When I checked in, the condition of the bathroom was UNACCEPTABLE. There was a smell of URINE in the shower stall. Yes, urine in shower stall and I couldn't believe it! The sink was greasy with stains and hair. It seemed like the housekeeping crew cleaned just the toilet and nothing else.
Since I checked in on Sunday evening and all the supermarkets nearby were closed, I couldn’t get anything to clean it. I woke up at 6:30am the next morning, bought some cleaning supplies and cleaned the shower stall and sink myself, so I could take a shower.
I emailed the owner Molina about this upon my check-in and he was quick to respond. He offered to have someone clean the bathroom the next day but I really couldn’t wait till later the day.
- In this case, I think it was fair for the owner to reimburse me the cleaning supplies ($8 euro). Unfortunately, he was not willing to do so. (1 star taken away)
I used a little bit of the cleaning supplies and left all of them in the bathroom when I checked out. I also sent the owner a pic of the supplies, so he knew what the $8 euro for.
The owner only offered to give me a credit next time I stay at his place again. I told him that I wouldn’t go to Paris anytime soon and he never replied again even I followed up with him a couple times. Over 2 weeks after I checked out, I still has NOT got any reimbursement.
1) The floor of the apartment was a kind of dirty too. I accidentally dropped a little bit of water on the floor and the napkins were black after wiping it.
2) Note the building has 5 floors (ground, 1st to 4th) but doesn’t have an elevator and stairs are a kind of narrow. If you have a large luggage and happen to stay on the 4th floor, it’s quite a workout.
Adorable studio perfect for one person!
This studio was the perfect place to be welcomed to Paris. Although it was small, it is enough space for one person. I was incredibly happy with how clean it was, as well. It is on the fourth floor so be aware that you will have to make a few trips up and down four flights of steps, which can be difficult if you have lots of luggage. The owner was really accommodating and answered all of my questions quickly!
