Here time and nature move to a greater rhythm. Hana is nearby- a little town on the backside of Maui, that is just about as far away as one could hope to travel... and still return. When it comes to natural attractions, Hana is blessed above all others. You can visit black, white, and red sand beaches and swim near, but not in, luxurious waterfalls.
The gardens which surround the property offer seasonally, a delightful array of papaya, mango, banana, breadfruit, avocado, ginger, jasmine and plumeria.
The Whale Watch Suite offers two bedrooms with privacy curtains. The rooms are separated from one another by a full bathroom. The king bedroom faces the tree-lined seasonally running Waiohonu stream, the queen bedroom is in a nook of it's own. The granite bathroom with shower/tub combination and washer/dryer separates the two bedrooms (the second has a queen bed). Ceiling fans in every room provide a gentle breeze, when the trade winds are not blowing. Both bedrooms open through curtains to the living/dining area, where one has access to DVD, TV and WiFi. The dining area is distinguished by a large old English oak dining table, with views of the vegetable garden, which may be offering a harvest, available to enjoy during your visit.
Above the Whale Watch Suite, discover the Tower, a 360° view, where the sea calls you to its feet and distant mountains vanish into clouds. Whales can be seen breaching offshore, during their winter breeding season. Take your morning beverage up to the perch, and watch the sunrise over the ocean, as you relax on the two lounge chairs.
A screened porch off the living/dining area encompasses a wet bar with an under-counter refrigerator, sink, and several small kitchen appliances. A BBQ is available.
