Lovely 2 bedroom 2 bathroom garden apartment next to the swimming pools and gardens of Residential Duquesa Phase 4,free broadband internet access.

beautifully furnished with new quality furnishings.The lounge has a comfortable sofa bed if required. There is a fitted kitchen with everything that you will need to prepare simple meals.

The apartment has a large terrace with dining furniture for dining al-fresco and a further area fitted with an awning for shade and rattan style coffee table and chairs. The apartment has air-conditioning / heating and marble floors throughout.

An excellent beach is ten minutes walk away and there is a nice park with children's play equipment and mini golf just across the road from the apartments.

lovely, quiet apartment

this is a beautiful apartment with a large terrace and good size fully fitted kitchen in a quiet residential area of Duquesa, one of the few actually overlooking a pool on this complex and within walking distance of the beach and local shops. perfect for families or couples. one of the complex rules is no outside music at any time which helps to make it nice and peaceful. A welcome pack with details of local attractions (Gibraltar is only 45 mins away) and how to operate gas bbq, etc would be a useful addition. Also, we feel the management company could be improved, whilst they proved a good service welcoming us and answering questions one of the sunbeds was broken which they had not picked up and most of the kitchen equipment had not been cleaned properly, all the pans were covered in grease, we ended up putting everything through the dishwasher before using it. We would thoroughly recommend this apartment and would happily stay there again. If you are planning to start your holiday on a Sunday (as we did) please note that the supermarkets are closed on Sundays and don't open until 9.00 during the week.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review . Unfortunately the owner wasn't prepared to provide a new sun bed and has left the other to be used in the condition it was in, If you had brought to our attention the problem with the pots and pans we would have sent the cleaner back to remedy the situation. Unfortunately this is the first we have heard of the issue. The owner bought the gas BQ however as it is not able to be used due to the community rules and regulations we don't provide the instructions for use. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you back again on the Costa del Sol. Regards ACPS team

Residential Duquesa is located in Sabanillas, 5 mins drive from the Lovely La Duquesa Golf and Country Club with its challenging 18 hole Robert Trent designed golf course. The Country Club also has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, Jacuzzi, tennis and a good restaurant.

The apartment is within easy walking distance of a wide sandy beach, and all local amenities. There is a nice children's play park opposite the urbanisation with water features and mini golf available in the summer and bars & restaurants.30mins to Marbella /Puerto Banus.5 mins La Duquesa Golf & Country Club

Admire the yachts and fishing boats whilst enjoying a cool drink or a meal al fresco in the attractive Puerto de la Duquesa at 1 km.

The pretty white village of Casares with its 12th century Castle, and lovely views over the Mediterranean and surrounding countryside is well worth a visit .In Roman times the spa of la Hedionda, located on the road to Manilva, is where Julius Caesar supposedly was cured of a liver complaint, thanks to the sulfuric waters that still pour out of the local spring. For this reason that during the Roman Empire, Casares was allowed by emperors to mint its own coins.

Half an hour´s drive west along the coast will take you to Gibraltar one of the “Pillars of Hercules” with stunning views through the straits and of course the iconic Barbary apes. It is a lovely drive and on a clear day, you can see the coast of North Africa. If you are feeling adventurous dolphin watching trips are available from several points or take a ferry or catamaran trip over to Morocco but don't forget to take your passport if visiting Gibraltar or Morocco.

Route from Gibraltar airport take the easy route to Duquesa by Taxi - time approx 30 minutes - cost nearly 50 euros.

Return Journey - 8 minute walk to bus stop (fairly accurate times displayed in bus shelter as opposed to inaccurate schedule provided by the Tourist Centre in Duquesa). Pleasant journey - and I do not like buses - time approx 1 hour - cost 3.56 euros - 5 minute walk from bus depot to Airport Building. Certainly worth consideration from a monetary point of view, but not if you have numerous cases/toddlers!
