Amazing house, beautiful location and brilliant service

  • 5 of 5

The house was a great size for us (a family of 14) and the sleeping arrangements were very flexible to suit us. The house is excellent equipment and maintained to a high standard. For so many people we never felt on top of each other.

It was great to comfortably fit the whole family round one table and we’d definitely recommend to other big families / groups who want to mix and socialise together.

The host was excellent with good communication leading up to our stay, being on hand when we arrived and providing a simple easy checkout process.

We’ll definitely be back and I’d recommend to others who want to celebrate with their friends or family too.

Lovey house, really enjoyable stay, but sadly no curtains in the lounge

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time in this house. It was well equipped and even more spacious than the pictures show. There were 12 of us (all girls!) and we didn’t any problems with not having enough bathrooms and the parking is great. It was lovely to sit out in the garden in the sun as well. The only two things to mention is that there are no curtains in the lounge where the additional sofa beds are. We had two girls using this as their bedroom but with big windows leading in to the conservatory and no curtains they were woken very early by the light. I’m not sure really whether (while it doesn’t have blinds or curtains) it’s suitable to consider sleeping in. The other feedback we had was it would be handy to have some hooks in the bathroom to hang towels up (plenty of space for them - bathrooms are lovely and big!) Also a previous review said there weren’t enough wine glasses but there are lots of glasses now!

Overall had a great stay and very pleased that we picked here!

Everyone loved it!

  • 5 of 5

We just returned from a wonderful hen weekend at this super spacious house in Ditchling. We loved that we could start and end the event with a pub visit at The Bull nearby (award winning, beautiful and delicious) and were so positively surprised by how well built, maintained and spacious the house was! If you're looking to go for walks from here, we did a lovely walk to the Oldland Windmill and heard there are many more. Andrew was always responsive within minutes, ever since booking, and so accommodating to our group. We were 14 but felt that we could have fitted even more in the house without feeling crowded; the kitchen equipment, long dining table and bathrooms all could easily handle this large a group. Fantastic! Thank you Andrew!

A well resourced house in a lovely village location not far from Brighton.

  • 4 of 5

The house was really well equipped for our hen party of 12. The house is spacious with a lovely, large dining table in the conservatory for all of us. The kitchen is well stocked and has everything we needed for our weekend. The beds were comfortable and the house was warm and clean. The showers were good and there was plenty of hot water for all of us girls! We could fit 4-5 cars on the driveway, and found it easy to travel to Brighton for our weekend in around 20 mins. The house is on a narrow single road, but easy to find. The landlord was available if needed, although we had no problems during our stay.

Weekend retreat for a get together

  • 4 of 5

It was a lovely big bungalow that worked perfectly for four families to have a weekend away. The house was very clean and contact with Andrew was efficient. Good facilities, the kitchen was particularly well stocked.

Great to have the dogs to stay!

  • 4 of 5

We booked a week over Christmas period. We had a maximum of 8 staying so all the beds provided were enough for us. The kitchen is well equipped (a new fridge from photo) with plenty of crockery and plates. To have 3 bathrooms and a utility room is also great offering privacy where required. We moved one of the dining tables into the living area with the benches and this worked better for us to be near kitchen. The key benefit was being able to take our 2 dogs. They stayed mainly in the conservatory and could get easy access to the enclosed garden. There are super walks all around and an easy 5 minute stroll to the village. We had super meals at both pubs. We also took the train from Hassocks into Brighton a couple of times and did a food shop at M&S food about 10 minutes drive away.

I would not describe the property as luxurious but it met our requirements for a family celebration including the dogs. Thank you Andrew.
