✨👰🤵✨WEDDINGS WELCOME❤❤❤
Contact me even if dates are showing unavailable as I have a similar historic and beautiful property nearby.

Artist's own beautiful spacious 2,200 sq ft home, historic property used to be a button factory at the beginning of last century.

👍IDEAL FOR REUNIONS, WEDDINGS AND FAMILY GATHERINGS❤

Available on a monthly base during December - May

For weddings check our (even) larger historic property, Capt. Nathaniel Clarke Inn on the SpacesOftheHeart site.

Quiet central location on a dead-end street with very few neighbors, on the bank of the West River, perfectly situated 1/4 mile or 5 min. walk from the historic and beautiful town center. "The Green"(Note: website erroneously calculates 0.9 mile from center) , restaurants, shops and social activities. 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and sleeps 8, max. Close to the beach, with passes (10 min. drive). The house is tastefully designed with original art, collectibles and local treasures.

This home has a gorgeous and fully equipped kitchen and a nice and large deck with a grill, plenty of outdoor furniture and picnic table. Fire pit in the huge and beautiful yard, with plenty of comfortable lawn chairs. Driveway fits up to 4 cars, street parking available.

The large yard is across from the West River and peaceful tidal marshes. Herons, gulls, shore birds are regular visitors. Popular spot for bird-watching!

Inside, the house features a Flatscreen TV, Wood-burning fireplace, comfortable arm chairs, bookshelves filled with wonderful books by local authors. The home is decorated with original artwork and quirky beach-comber decor such as shells, sea-glass, driftwood sculptures and vintage furnishings. The house boasts original, wide-board pine floors and Original, chestnut mantle.

Coffee shops, restaurants, galleries, local library, shoppes... and charming Guilford Town Green are all just a short walk away.

This home has a unique history of early Americana. The property was originally built in 1860 as a button factory. Early American fashions of the late 1700's to mid-1800's required many buttons on both male and female garments. Buttons were even essential to underwear, shoes, corsets and women's basque waist. Buttons of the time period were made of ivory, bone, shell, wood, stone, glass, whale bone or animal horn. This property was originally built as a factory, producing and selling buttons to clothiers of the Guilford and CT shoreline area. The colonial character of this property has been preserved, yet it features the modern conveniences you expect in a vacation home.

The price is right for this house! We ensure the property is clean, crisp, welcoming and affordable for guests.

This property was perfectly situated As we had a wedding in Branford and did not want to pay for three hotel rooms! It is well located, only a few minutes walk to the town center in Guilford. There was plenty of room for 5 adults, wifi certainly appreciated. We spent some lovely mornings and evenings on the enjoyed our visit very much.

July 2015

'We had a wonderful time at this lovely home in Guilford. We found the home to be cozy, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We will definitely stay here again in the future. We loved being able to walk to town to the Green, shoppes, restaurants, etc. I would definitely recommend this home to my friends and family. And the woman we worked with was also so sweet and helpful.'

Well presented
VRBO and the host presented the stay just as we experienced. We were there for a celebration of life and it was a perfect location. We appreciate that there were no complications, and the property was exactly as advertised. Thank you.

A good spot for a base
1) sweet place with good kitchen tho we barely used 2) not for elderly or disabled 3) no hot water after 1 shower 4) some lights didn’t work 5) nice yard and porch 6) bathrooms down stairs not next to bedrooms - be prepared for the late night walk

Great for families
We had a wonderful week at the Button House. The house had everything we needed and the location was extremely convenient to the beach and stores. Having multiple beach passes was a godsend since we had both early and late risers in our group. The house was immaculate. Just one suggestion. The only silverware was a set of six table settings - it would be wonderful to have more. There were six of us, so we had to wash silverware after every meal, even if the dishwasher was nearly empty.

Mother, Grandmother, wife, sister, friend,....Creative Spirit..Founder of Spaces of the Heart. This house has allowed me to keep building a Healing Art Center in Old Saybrook, Ct..Today would be Jason's 41st Birthday, Tragically his life was cut short almost 18 years ago. The loss of Jason was so devasting for me. I could hear Jason say, Mom just paint. I painted, I went back to Maui alone, I had to Heal from one of the most horrific times of my life. On the same day, two years later my Mother would die..I went back to Maui, where I had lived the last few months with Jason.I have never told the story, of the reason this house is all part of Spaces of the Heart. Please go to Spaces of the Heart....Love houses and finding treasures...This is my 10th year renting this home. Love to hear that people had a great time and enjoyed the space .I was born in Franklin, Ct and have had the opportunity to live in many amazing places on this planet. I seem to keep coming back to the Shoreline of Ct..
