Pretty stone cottage, end position of 18th century small terrace, overlooking the square in the heart of this picturesque seaside village and almost opposite the renowned Masons Arms Inn. Sympathetically refurbished, stunningly designed and modernised yet retaining much character and charm.

The Linhay is in an excellent holiday location by the scenic beauty of the Devon countryside.

The spectacular beach with café/shop, is half a mile level walk through National Trust meadows and leads to the pathways on this Jurassic coast with stunning views.

Delightful cottage in splendid surroundings

A well-equipped, wonderfully furnished and decorated cottage. We couldn't have wanted for more! We spent two weeks at The Linhay and were very sad to leave. The area around Branscombe is great for walking. We used Branscombe as a base to explore the countryside. The area is very hilly, so the roads to Branscombe are steep! Beer is also a nice little town, the Quarry Caves a must to see. If you feel in need of a sandy beach (beaches in Bransccombe and Beer are pebble), head to Jacob's Ladder in Sidmouth. For a special treat, book a table in the Mason's Arms across the street. We had a superbe dinner there! We recommend The Linhay with all our hearts and won't hesitate to return!

Wunderschönes Haus in herrlicher Umgebung

Wir haben zwei herrliche Wochen in Branscombe verbracht. Das Haus ist hevorragend ausgestattet, alles da, was man sich nur wünschen kann! Hochwertige Ausstattung und hübsche Deko tragen zum sehr guten Eindruck bei. Gegenüber ist ein Pub (Mason's Arms), in dem man sehr gut essen kann. Die Straßen, die zum Ort führen, sind extrem steil, Parkplätze im Ort rar, wir haben aber in der Nähe des Hauses immer parken können. Der Strand ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen, allerdings Kiesel (Badeschuhe ratsam, falls man ins Wasser gehen möchte). Wir fanden den Sandstrand Jacob's Ladder in Sidmouth sehr schön. Nette Orte in der Umgebung sind Sidmouth und Beer (unbedingt die Beer Quarry Caves besichtigen!). Die Gegend ist ideal zum Wandern, aber auch als Basis für Ausflüge in die Umgebung. Birgit
