2 Bedroom, Lounge & Kitchen Opening Out to Private Garden With Country Views.

Our charming country cottages, in the heart of Scotland offer a relaxing break away from it all. Situated on the edge of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, in an area of outstanding beauty, on our working farm, our newly converted cottages are furnished and equipped to a very high standard.

We will ensure that you receive a warm welcome and personal service throughout your stay.

Both cottages are in our renovated farm courtyard. You can park right outside your door. The other side of the cottages has view across rolling hills where our sheep and cattle graze in the summer months.

Stables Cottage, which sleeps 6 plus one small child: It has a large dining kitchen which is the heart of the cottage. It has a large dining table and the kitchen is well equipped with an electric cooker, microwave, fridge/ freezer and dishwasher are all available for your convenience. All the pots, pans, trays, crockery, cutlery and utensils that you will require are all ready for you. The cooking area is well laid out for easy efficient working. It is a very sociable kitchen so that those who are busy needn’t be cut off from the conversation. This is a lovely space which you will want to spend time in round the table whether enjoying your meals or just passing time.

The lounge is beautifully bright room. There are comfortable sofas and a winged chair with foot stool. There are various small tables for playing cards, board games or maybe completing a jigsaw. The lounge also opens out onto the garden with patio doors. On a good day it’s great to open them wide and enjoy the fresh air. If the weather isn’t so good there is a widescreen TV with freeview channels. The house also has free WiFi to assist with electronic devices.

One of the double bedrooms is downstairs. This has an en-suite facility with walk-in shower, making this house ideal to accommodate guests with mobility difficulties. It is again a bright room with wardrobe, chest of drawers & mirror.

Upstairs there is another double en-suite bedroom. This en-suite has a shower. The furniture in this room is a full bedroom suite with dressing table.

The other bedroom upstairs is a twin room. Also in this room is a large cot bed for our smaller guests. Bedding for the cot can be provided upon request.

The master bathroom is also upstairs. It has a large bath and separate shower cabinet. This is a large bathroom – ideal for getting all the children washed and organized for bed!

This cottage is very spacious with a hall area upstairs. A group of people – family or friends can enjoy a break here without invading each others space.

Ploughmans Cottage, which sleeps 4: Downstairs in our Ploughmans Cottage there is a well equipped, bright, dining kitchen with access to the garden through patio doors. An electric cooker, microwave, fridge & freezer are all available for your convenience. All the pots, pans, trays, crockery, cutlery and utensils that you will require are all ready for you. The kitchen has a great layout for easy efficient working. There is also enough room for you to spend time round the table enjoying your meals at a leisurely pace. In the summer it is lovely to open up the double doors and eat out on the patio so that you can really enjoy the beautiful rural surroundings.

The lounge is very spacious and lends itself well to families. There is a comfortable 3 piece suite. There are various small tables for playing cards, board games or maybe completing a jigsaw. The lounge also opens out onto the garden with patio doors to help bring the outdoors in a little. There is a widescreen TV with freeview channels. The house also has WiFi to assist with electronic devices.

Downstairs also has a cloakroom with WC & was hand basin for your convenience.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom with fitted wardrobe. There are extra blankets and linen should you require them stored here also. There is a full length mirror too and the bedroom has a hair dryer.

Across the hall is the twin bedroom. This also has a fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and blanket box or storage. These bedrooms share a bathroom. There is a shower over the bath.

The private gardens really are an extension to the cottages. They have a patio and a gravelled area and a small lawn. This means that during your stay you can relax on the garden furniture and take in the fresh country air! There is also a charcoal BBQ so that you can cook and eat outside.

If you have to do the laundry while you are away both cottages have a washer/dryer in the kitchen. There is also a clothes horse, ironing board, iron are in the downstairs cupboard.

We have taken time to ensure that everything that will make your stay easy is available. The furnishings have comfort in mind – we hope you will feel relaxed in this home away from home.

This house is lovely, there is nothing negative to say about the property or location. The owners kept in contact from booking and were available if needed. None of us wanted to leave at the end of the week, we would thoroughly recommend staying here.

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful rural location

I spent the weekend with my family at this very pretty cottage and had a lovely time. The cottage is modern, spacious and very comfortable with everything you need. The owner is friendly and accommodating, great customer service. I thoroughly recommend it!

The cottages are only a few miles from the banks of Loch Lomond and are ideally suited to exploring Central Scotland.

If you prefer some more urban pursuits Stirling and Glasgow are only a 30 minute drive away, Edinburgh and Perth an hour. In only 40 minutes you can travel to Glasgow where there are museums, galleries and theatres. The same can be said of Edinburgh where there is also the world famous Festival in August.

You have the opportunity of a sail on Loch Katrine where you can also hire bicycles. There are some stunning drives in the Trossachs and up towards the forests of Argyll. Locally, Loch Lomond has many cruise and water sport opportunities. Private hire or charters are available to book from Balloch or Balmaha.

Ben Lomond, Ben Vorlich and Ben Ledi are our local Munros for those who enjoy hill-walking. There are also many local walks to suit all abilities. Aberfoyle, 3 miles away also hosts the unique Go Ape experience for the more adventurous.

Locally there are excellent opportunities for walking, sight seeing, cycling & mountain biking, pony trekking, fishing, golf and lots more.

If you are interested in history, there are castles in Edinburgh and Stirling along with Wallace Monument in Stirling where the views are amazing.

The immediate area is serviced by many villages, each with their own charm and individual attractions. This has resulted in a wide range of amenities on your door step.

Our cottages have been tastefully furnished with everything to make your stay relaxing. The private gardens mean that you can enjoy the beautiful countryside without having to move.
