Incredible gem. This quite enormous house is in mint condition, very cozy and elegant at the same time. The photos don't do justice to the many exquisite rooms. Lots of privacy for multiple guests. The grounds are also beautiful and allow for long walks and memorable vistas. Only 10 minutes from downtown Hudson. The best part for the kids was the petting zoo - right across the way, and we loved our host Erika, who is also a chef and provides wonderful catering options. We can't wait to stay here again!
Beautiful Farm Manor House
My wife and I and family stayed at the Manor House for four nights over Christmas to celebrate the special time of year with our 8 month old Son for his first Christmas. It was a total of ten adults and one child. The rooms set up was just perfect for us. The hidden room above the kitchen away from the other four rooms in the original part of the house was a perfect for us and our baby. We had our own two bedrooms, a sitting area and bathroom. It was like an apartment within a house. The kitchen, dining room and Television rooms were perfect for the family to gather and very cozy with the large two way fire place separating the TV Room and Kitchen. The kitchen is spectacular. I've never stayed at a house with with such a stocked kitchen with everything you could imagine to cook with. It has two separate sinks and dish washing machines, even the knives were sharp. We loved the large floor to ceiling windows allowing lots of natural sunlight into the Living Room/Dinning area, so you could look out onto the farm land.
On top of it all, Erika the property manager is a Nutritionist and spectacular Chef. If you want she will cater meals for you during your stay to make it that much more relaxing if you do not want to cook. She arranged two meals during our stay which were delicious. I would thoroughly recommend her cooking services.
The Manor House made for an amazing first Christmas with our Son and family and cannot wait to stay again one day.
Fabulous country vacation home
We thoroughly enjoyed our four-day stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The house is a beautiful merging of the old manor home — formal spaces downstairs and four bedrooms upstairs (with 2 baths) — and a spectacular modern kitchen and family room with wrap-around windows and doors. A fireplace separates the kitchen and family room and was most welcome during this cold season. There is an entrance off the kitchen to a separate 2-BR space with bath, which affords privacy.
We have rented many HomeAway homes and apartments in the US and abroad, and this was by far the best in truly making oneself feel at home — with a well-stocked kitchen, a serious tv/screen, books and fun games galore. The grounds are beautiful too, which would be great in warm season.
In short, we love this place and will be back again.
Family Friendly Weekend Getaway
We loved our stay! The property is beautiful and so relaxing and the home is wonderful for family reunions. The kitchen layout is very convenient for cooking and cleaning (there are 2 dishwashers), we really enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners together! The house and layout is wonderful, we loved walking through the formal living rooms to the upstairs bedrooms and the rooms themselves were conveniently located and spread out. It was really comfortable for 3 adult couples and children. The beds and linens were comfortable and the shower and tub combo made it easy to relax for adults but also bathe children. The family room and kitchen was probably our favorite space during our stay. We were confused by the freezer at first but then realized there are cabinet faced freezer drawers to the left of the fridge. We can't wait to stay again!
