Laax Treetops is modern, well-equipped property situated in a beautiful elevated position amongst the trees at the end of a mountain road leading up from the village yet is only 6 minutes walk from all the amenities. Laax Murschetg has a bakery, supermarket, wine shop, hairdresser, clothes shops, equipment rental, ATM, restaurants (including takeaway options) and bars, swimming pool, indoor freestyle centre, car parking and is the base station for the gondola and mountain cable car.

Enjoy sitting comfortably on sheepskin covered chairs, a glass of wine or hot chocolate in hand, watching the sunset on the uninterrupted mountain view. You've perhaps had an amazing day skiing or snowboarding; a gentle hike or a full-on mountain biking experience. Laax Treetops is the place to stay to appreciate the tranquillity that an alpine property has to offer mixed with the convenience of a lively village within walking distance.

As you drive up the pretty, winding road a few hundred metres from Laax Murschetg you turn the corner and all you see is Residenz Cuolm Liung set against a backdrop of trees. There is a parking space for Laax Treetops apartment in the covered garage and from there the novel funicular style lift will take you to the apartment. As you cross the courtyard to the apartment you will notice the peace and quiet and the fresh mountain air. Once inside the apartment you can again enjoy this whilst sitting on the balcony enjoying an uninterrupted mountain and forest view.

Upon entering the apartment the generous hallway leads you to an open plan kitchen, dining and living area. The gorgeous yet practical kitchen is new and has all the equipment you could want including fridge freezer, microwave, oven, hob, kettle, toaster, toasting sandwich maker, fondue set, Nespresso coffee machine. The rustic wooden kitchen cabinets contrast with the smart, modern stone work surfaces.

Backing onto the kitchen half-wall is the dining area. We have created a cosy semi-built-in dining booth here with wooden sheepskin covered benches as well as additional chairs for extra guests. There are high chairs available for children. The wooden table and benches, and all the wooden furniture throughout the apartment, are handmade by a local carpenter using local materials.

The living area opens up from the dining room and is the perfect place for relaxing on the leather corner sofa to watch the mountains changing colour as the sun sets or to watch a film on the widescreen television discretely hidden in the custom made wooden TV cabinet. Or choose a book, DVD or game to borrow. The felt-ball rugs, handmade by a women's cooperative in Nepal, feel fantastic underfoot or put your feet up on the stylish cowskin footrest.

From the stylish sitting room you can slide back the large doors and access the sunny, south-facing balcony with panoramic views over the mountains and forest. Deer and marmots live in the woods and many species of birds circle overhead. The balcony has sheepskin covered chairs to allow you to enjoy the view in comfort and the small wooden table is the perfect place to pop your glass of wine or your hot chocolate.

There are two bedrooms in the apartment. The master bedroom has a handmade, wooden double bed against a wood-panelled wall, built-in wardrobe, designer curtains and a stunning view of the mountains.

Bedroom two has amazing custom-made wooden bunk beds with a staircase and cleverly designed storage. There is a pull-out bed under the bunk beds allowing this room to sleep 3. A cot is also available. The window looks onto the courtyard and a blackout blind provides a good night's sleep. This room also has a handmade felt-ball rug.

The sofa-bed area is in a separate area of the living space and is next to bedroom two. It is a cosy corner with a sofa and its own TV.

The family bathroom is new, stylish light coloured stone, It comprises a bath (with shower over), a separate shower, toilet and sink.

There are ski and bike rooms on the lower floors of the residence.

Why Cameron Alexander chose Laax

Who wouldn't love to be lucky enough to have their own corner of the Swiss Alps? With its lakes and mountains Switzerland is such a beautiful country. We live by Lake Zurich and the mountains are only an hour and a half drive away. We couldn't resist having a look for a ski property and then we came across the stunning Residenz Cuolm Liung, nestled in forest, with spectacular unspoilt mountain views and within walking distance to the village and ski lifts of Laax. It is a modern development which meant we could make our own interior design choices. The result is a chic, modern rustic feel. We are having so much fun exploring the area and with so many activities on offer in winter and summer seasons it is like having two different holiday homes!

What makes this apartment unique

A glass of wine on the balcony as the sun sets on the uninterrupted mountain view; the birds singing in the alpine forest; the relaxing sound of distant cowbells. After a day of skiing or snowboarding or mountain biking or hiking or swimming in the turquoise Cauma lake or shopping at the designer outlet or being pampered at the Waldhaus spa there is nothing finer than retiring to tranquil Residenz Cuolm Liung and after a visit to the sauna and hot tub, opening the doors to the balcony, breathing in the mountain air and enjoying the serenity. The location of Laax Treetops is simply stunning. And, if you've had enough serenity the superb local mountain restaurant, Tegia Larnags, is only a few mins walk along the forest trail. You can also walk to Laax where there are restaurants, bars and nightclubs.

“Secluded luxury”

We stayed in this beautifully appointed, modern apartment in April. The apartment has amazing views over the surrounding mountains, and is situated within a very cleverly designed structure, built into the mountain. The kids especially loved the furnicular lift inside the residence! The apartment had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay, and the kids (aged 12, 9 and 6) were extremely comfortable in the custom made bunk beds (with sliding truckle bed). Skiing in Laax was excellent, and the Rock resort in the village has every sort of cuisine imaginable available. We especially loved the walk to the restaurant just up the mountain from the apartments - Tegia Larnags, which we would highly recommend. We would definitely visit again.

Wonderful apartment - suited our needs perfectly

We rented the apartment for a family skiing trip between Christmas and New Year. The apartment was very comfortable, very well kitted out and we were very pleased with it. We were unable to ski out due to the lack of snow, so drove to the lifts each day which was not really an issue at all. Would definitely consider returning.

Owner's Response: We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your stay in Laax. Yes, the late snow arrival was frustrating, sorry! As mentioned, driving the couple of minutes to the ski-lifts is an easy option, alternatively if you don't wish to carry your skis etc then it is also possible to rent a ski locker at the ski-lifts. (The lifts are a few minutes walk from the apartment or a shuttle bus also covers most of the journey.) Best wishes for a Happy New Year.

Beautiful property in a lovely town; well appointed apartment; owner provided good customer service. The only problem is that the apartment complex was under construction during our visit - Lots of construction noise and most of the apartments were not yet habitable.

Owner's Response: Rest assured all holidaymakers were advised of the ongoing construction work which is due for completion in July 2015. The fitness and wellness centre will be ready soon and final landscaping will take place in the early summer. We look forward to welcoming you to our new, fabulous destination.

This apartment is fantastic and the location is brilliant. It's extremely stylish with excellent facilities, the layout is great and it has a welcoming and cosy feel to it.

The master bedroom and living room have an AMAZING view, it has an open plan living area, very comfortable bunk beds in the second bedroom and a balcony with a view too.

This apartment is perfect for a skiing holiday to remember as you can ski out straight onto the slopes, or for a summer break as there are many fabulous local attractions such as hiking, swimming, nature walks, mountain biking, BBQ areas and more!

The customer service from the owner and the entire experience booking and staying in this apartment was outstanding.

I highly recommend staying in this apartment in Laax, I had such a great time that I'm definitely going to book it again for my next holiday to Switzerland!

Toller Urlaub

Wir haben mit unseren 3 Kindern ( 18, 16 und 12 Jahre) eine Woche Skiurlaub in der Wohnung verbracht und waren absolut zufrieden. Die Wohnung bietet einen tollen Blick auf die Berge, ist absolut ruhig, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und perfekt ausgestattet. Nur nach einem Regen-Skitag fehlte ein Wäschständer, um die nassen Sachen zu trocknen.

Der Vermieter ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit.

Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Laax Treetops is a stylish mountain apartment in the exclusive, architecturally stunning Residenz Cuolm Liung, nestled in the trees above the village of Laax in the Swiss Alps. It is a perfect mountain retreat in all seasons.

For winter visitors this ski-out apartment offers stunning mountain views, a chic interior and is within walking distance of the lifts and village facilities of Laax.

LAAX is part of the sunny, snow-sure Flims, Laax, Falera ski resort in the beautiful Swiss Alps (nearest airports are Zurich, Milan, Friedrichshafen).

The resort offers 235km of slopes to suit all abilities, a superb variety of mountain restaurants and snow bars and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. For beginners the wonderful ski school offers everything from a Laax for Beginners one day course to private lessons or ski-school. Adults and children are all catered for. Small children are well looked after in the Snow Kindergarten and they may spend their time in the crèche or take advantage of the one-to-one tuition offered for one hour of their daycare session.

For the more experienced head to the glacier for some amazing skiing with outstanding views. The new Porsche designed rotating chairlift with heated seats is also a special experience.

There are 4 snow parks, a super-pipe, mini-pipe and freestyle piste for boarders and skiers as well as 55km of picturesque cross-country ski tracks and 100km of winter hiking trails.

In summer the beautiful alpine area offers more than 230km of mountain bike trails and more than 250km of hiking trails that lead to countless panoramic lookouts including over the 'Swiss grand canyon'.

Other summer activities include tennis, badminton, golf, swimming and kayaking.

The region has three beautiful mountain lakes (Cauma, Cresta and Laax) with water warm enough for swimming and which provide the perfect setting for alfresco culinary experiences from the restaurant, cafe, picnic or grill.
