Why Carolyn chose Northampton
This home was built by Carolyn's grandmother, the neighborhood still is home to many of the children of the people who built here. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors are friendly and helpful. Inside we have 3 bedrooms with beds (2 of those beds are memory foam, one is a Tempur-Pedic both on the main floor) We also have 2 sofa sleepers, both queen size, one in the living room and one in the basement family room.) The third bedroom is a spacious basement room. We personally stay in this home about half the time so we have tried to make sure we have furnished to be as comfortable for our guests as we would expect in our own home. We try hard to make your stay comfortable so please let us know if you have any special needs. We do try to keep the home festive and decorate for the holidays. We love the central location to the best sites and some of the best places to dine in St. Louis. Walk 3 blocks to a small park or 4 blocks to Hampton Village shopping. Minutes away from the best dining areas in town including the Hill, Tower Grove, Dog Town, Central West End and more. Minutes from local Universities: Washington University Wash U St Louis University SLU Webster University Fontbonne University Minutes from TOP Hospitals: Barnes Jewish Hospital St. Louis University Hospital St Louis Children's Hospital Cardinal Glennon Hospital Missouri Baptist Hospital We REALLY want your stay to be awesome and hope you enjoy our home as much as we have. Quiet suburban home near St. Louis downtown
Had a nice visit with my young family exploring all that St. Louis offered. The house was nicely located to major attractions and popular STL eateries. There was a great book with places to eat at and things to do in the area that made planning activities easy and fun. We enjoyed the quiet and safe neighborhood and appreciated the little touches to make it out home away from home.
Trip to the Muny.
This was one of the most welcoming houses we have ever stayed in! It was perfect for our group of three for losing for a Muny show.
The property was well maintained and was clean. The communication from the property owner was good and we had no issues. The location of the property was superb. Very convenient to shopping, the zoo and the science museum. The location was far enough away from downtown to avoid bad traffic but close enough to get there in 15 minutes. Loved the neighborhood. I would recommend this property and owner to anyone wishing to stay in the St Louis area.
Great location, filthy conditions
Place was not cleaned when we arrived. Urine and feces on the toilet when we arrived had to spend first 2 1/2 hours of our trip cleaning. Exposed wiring in sockets downstairs. My 77 father in law sat on the bed downstairs and it collapsed on him. He fell to the ground but luckily wasn’t injured. House needs to be updated but owners say they haven’t had a chance because it is always occupied by renters. Location is prime though!! Great neighborhood close to everything. I would not recommend this place, especially if you have young children. There are some safety concerns that need to be addressed. If the owners make the necessary improvements it would be a nice place to stay.
We had an excellent time during our stay and the house was perfect!!
Great having you, hope to have you visit again soon
Memorial Day weekend
The location of the property was ideal for our trip to the zoo and Grant's farm. We traveled with 4 adults and 2 small children. The property was stocked well with toys and books to entertain. The set up was great for separation of 2 adult couples with one bed and bath downstairs. Note the basement is cool so if you do not like sleeping cool you will not enjoy. The only negative would be an insufficiently stocked kitchen for pots and pans. We were not able to locate a cookie sheet or a macaroni and cheese size pot. Everything else in the kitchen was plentiful; dishes, silverware and utensils.
Most everything that you will want to see in St. Louis is 5- 18 minutes away. bike path, Light rail metro Link, fitness center, shopping, parks, dining, bars, and casinos.
This North Hampton Home is walking distance to Tilies Park and Hampton Village Shopping.
