Locating in a, still, unspoiled area our beautiful house has everything needed to provide a comfortable stay for up to six people and it is simply but nicely decorated. Kitchen includes everything needed to cook and we have recently improved kitchen appliances to ensure our guests comfort. With basic satellite TV, Spanish TV with option to be watched in original version if the TV program applies. Our brand new double-glazing windows include mosquito net. Wifi

Welcome to La Chacara! It has been 5 years since we started this exciting adventure of holiday renting and it has also been extremely rewarding, our house has greatly improved and also have we improved as holiday hosts and we have done so by observing other people's customs while away as we love to travel and listening as well to our clients not only their delights but even so more carefully their concerns as simple as they might have seem as we take them very seriously. We have received families mostly from the UK but lately they are also coming from France, Switzerland and the US. We are extremely proud of our product which is designed for a client that wishes to discover another Andalucia.

Why LILY GARCIA chose Ronda area

This house is the effort and the biggest illusion of my husband and I, we invested all our savings to refurbish it and build the pool, the property has always belonged to my mother´s family I can trace the ownership up to my great great grandfather it used to serve as a vineyard on top and orchard at the bottom for a long time, we are also making our own wine and we are happy to give a taste to our customers.

What makes this villa unique

Some guests have often commented how many different species of birds, specially some "of prey".

The sky and its stars are also unique as pollution has not yet reached this area.

My wife and I booked to stay the last week in October. The booking process was easy and the owners were quick to respond to all my e-mails. You will need to do your homework, we did for the location as we were looking for a quiet location but not too far away from a town. You will need a car to get to and from this villa. From the information provided by the owner and looking closely at google map we were able to follow the directions to the villa without any problems. We phoned the owner when we were passing Rhonda, which is about 15 minutes away to arrange pick-up of the keys and had a nice surprise to be meet in the village of Cartajima by Lily and her husband who escorted us the last part of the journey to the villa. Once the formalities and handover had taken place, the villa was ours and we did not see anyone for the remainder of our stay until the agreed time of hand back and departure. The Villa was very clean and well presented. The kitchen was equipped with all we required and we dined in every evening. The swimming pool area is well presented and we appreciated the better quality of sun loungers. The views down the valley from the terrace and pool are stunning.. A high boundary fence surrounds the villa which sit on a very large plot of land with varied fruit trees in abundance. The ground around the Villa lawn and pool area is on a slope and this will need to be considered if you have very young children or have difficulty walking. Please see the photos which are available as they provide a clear perspective, this did not cause either of us an issue. The large Iron gates provide a very secure area with Parking for a maximum of 2 cars. If you wish to have a quiet and relaxing Villa holiday this is the place for you. Lilly and her husband continue to improve their Villa with alterations planned for this winter to enhance the holiday experience. I Highly recommended this villa.

Nice Villa, pool and great views

Really good choice for a nice relaxing holiday. Villa has a nice secluded location just on the edge of Cartajima. Views from the villa and pool area are of mountains and valley's. Ronda is 20 minutes away. Villa has everything you need for your stay. Lots of nice little touches. Lots of space to relax outside. Road down to the Villa is challenging at first but you soon get used to it!! Lily and her husband are very friendly and Lily is easy to communicate with. Very quick in responding. We found the pool bar in then village was good. Overall we had a really good holiday here in a lovely unspoilt area.

Beautiful and Peaceful Retreat

The house is tucked away in one of the tiny little white villages near the fantastic town of Ronda. It's beautifully designed and well kept - spotless, cozy, and well appointed. Our family had many wonderful walks through the town and we spent a lot of time on the terrace enjoying the view.

We were in Spain and Portugal for a good amount of time and Lily was so great about communicating with us and answering all of our questions. She was also nice enough to provide us with coffee, snacks, and a very good bottle of her own wine, which we enjoyed upon our arrival. Also, the internet was very fast.

I would highly recommend this property both for its ideal location and also for it's absolutely picturesque setting and very accommodating owner. I've stayed in houses all over the world and this was definitely among the top five.

This property is really amazing!the perfect place

We really enjoyed this property. It was the perfect place to enjoy our holidays. It is clean, located in a beautiful place, sorrounded by mountains and trees... just a dream! Very nice location, and perfect to relax

The location of this property is great. A little bit outside the tiny village, very private and very quiet. The outdoor area is great. There is of course the pool which is magnificent. And we loved all the swallows that flew over, and dipped to drink out of it. We loved sitting on the terrace watching this spectacle. The area is also great for walking tours (to nearby small villages). And of course there is Ronda about 20 minutes away by care.

The house itself was also fine but a bit basic. The thing we liked less were the small beds (I think it was 1.40). But despite this I would certainly recommend this place.

Only we don't understand exactly what you mean by basic regarding the house as its got a washing machine, a dish washer, wifi, DVD and is fully furnished to accomodate six people, plus all amenities that are necessary for the kitchen but again we work very hard to keep up to speed. the house is located in Sierra de las Nieves a biological reserve where unique species of trees can be observed, it is a secluded area far from the madding crowd, if you are looking for peaceful and picturesque holidays this is your spot.

Cartajima – called the “atalaya” or watchtower by the ancients – is the highest village in Malaga province. Pretty, flower-filled, whitewashed, the original Moorish streets are narrow and mysterious. Lovely to visit in all seasons – it is especially riotous at Easter and in August when all the “imigrantes” who moved to France in the “years of hunger”, come back for their summer holidays. The 4-day August festival is an extraordinary extravaganza of food, dance, theatre, song, and partying.
