Why Mark Grip chose Eastham

I have vacationed on the Cape all my life. Eastham is the closest to the old Cape feel we could find, close to both the bayside and Oceanside beaches with the choice of freshwater ponds too to float on an inner tube. Salt air, peace and quiet, yet close to night life and shopping. This is our little piece of the Cape, a haven to re-charge and we keep it not as a business, but a home.

What makes this cottage unique

This cottage is unique as it is set away from all the others in the complex, with complete privacy and plenty of space between neighbors. The cottage is on a sand 'U' shaped road with a large grassy area across from the cottage. Safe for children and reminiscent of Olde Cape Cod. The back yard is completely private, great place to read or barbeque.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a fabulous stay at your wonderful, cozy and quiet cottage. All we need, you have it in your well equipped cottage and it is appreciated. We had very good time in Cape Cod with the beautiful beaches and the sunny days. It’s a very good place to take vacations.

Cute and Connected!

  • 5 of 5

Sharon and Mark's cottage was adorable. It was the perfect size for my husband, my 5-year-old, and me. The cottage had everything you needed - the kitchen was well-equipped and with the option of the outdoor shower, everyone had their space to get ready. The location is amazing. Only two minutes drive from the Orleans rotary, but there was no through traffic by the cottage so we felt safe letting the little guy play. We spent the week biking from beach to beach and from ice cream to great seafood restaurants. The cottage is very close to the rail trail and we were able to take back roads to get there (and nearly everywhere else!). The weather was perfect and the neighbors were very friendly. All in all, it was a terrific week!

Owner's Response: Thank you Rachel! We are so happy you loved our cottage as much as we do. The location is close to everything, yet you feel tucked away from it all. The outdoor shower with changing area is one of my favorite spots, set in the private back yard. A friend of mine commented she loved how everything you need is at the cottage and so comfortable, she didn’t want to leave. The closeness to Bay, Ocean and ponds make our hideaway perfect no matter what the tide is and the ability to walk “forever “ and play in tidal pools, one of my fondest memories growing up. I hope you and your family continue to join us , so your son can build wonderful childhood memories of Cape Cod.

Wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at this location and were very pleased with the accommodations. Our party consisted of two adults and two 15-year-olds and we had plenty of space to move around, as well as all the necessary amenities to enjoy a nice relaxing week on the outer Cape. The location is fantastic and communication with the owners was excellent. We will definitely return here again in the future.

Owner's Response: We are so happy you had a wonderful vacation at our hideaway! This year we installed full over full adult bunk beds in one bedroom to provide much more comfort for our guests and glad they were well received. We also utilized services to reduce mosquitoes and ticks in a eco friendly manner to provide our guests as much comfort for outside activities too. Thank you for joining our family of guests who have discovered our gem and we really look forward to seeing you again soon.

The Charm of an Old-fashioned Cape Cod Summer

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is quaint and private, in a setting that evokes Cape Cod summers of times past. We definitely had enough space for meals, board games, and siestas between outdoor activities. It’s very comfortable and functional with plenty of storage areas (drawers, shelves, closets) to stay organized. The location is excellent, close to shopping, bike path and beaches. Very responsive hosts.

Quiet, Peaceful, and Great Location

  • 5 of 5

I was nervous about the size of the house since we are a family of 4, but it was set up perfectly! The homeowners were great to deal with and I am excited to go back next year! The location is perfect! You are close to all the store and there is so much to do close by. The house was set up perfectly and we took advantage of the grill in the back yard and the outdoor shower. I highly recommend this property. As I stated earlier, we are all excited to go back again!!

Owner's Response: Stacy, Thank you so much,! I'm glad you loved our little hideaway as much as we do. Our thoughts are that our guests are family coming to visit and that's how we try to keep the cottage, so you will have the best vacation possible. One of my favorite bits is the outdoor shower! I love to hear your family enjoyed your vacation, I hope you found the notebook to jot down memories of your time up there, if not then next year take a look in the basket by the tv.
