About the property

Tigh Mor, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, Wi-Fi, log fire, central location for travel.

This large single story house was newly built for 2014 on the foot print of an old farm steading with the original stone reused in the build.

Tigh Mor is a very spacious house, encompassing a large open plan lounge with dining area, kitchen area and cosy wood burning stove.

The living area has French doors which open onto a large paved private patio with panoramic views over farmland and the Carse of Stirling onto the hills and mountain beyond.

To maximize the views there are stunning handmade full length oak windows on either side of the Morso wood burning stove.

For your comfort we have 2 fabric sofas' and one large leather sofa from M&S and a large dining table seating 8.

The kitchen has oak effect kitchen units with a granite worktop, integrated dishwasher, fridge freezer, and a bosch electric oven, hob, and microwave.

Utility/boot room has a washing machine and tumble drier, plenty of space for coat hanging and boots.

4 bedrooms,

Master bedroom is a large bright room with a king-size bed, fitted mirror wardrobes and en suite shower room, ideally positioned for the morning sun.

Two of the twin rooms have zip and link twin single beds which can be made up to a super king bed according to guests preference. Each room has fitted mirror wardrobes and one bedroom has an suite shower room and the other is located next to the large family bathroom.

One further twin room with fitted mirror wardrobes and en suite shower room.

All rooms and bright and spacious and have room for an extra fold down bed and or cot.

Main family bathroom has a bath and a separate large shower, it is suitable for the disabled with grab rails and plenty of turning space for a wheel chair.

All curtains, blinds, occasional chairs and cushions throughout the house are from Voyage, a contemporary Scottish design company.

There is plenty of outside private parking and a grassed garden for children to play. The patio has a large garden table and chairs for 8 and a BBQ.

Please note we do not accept any pets, hen or stag parties or bookings when all guests are under the age of 25.

We accept full week bookings commencing either on a Friday or a Monday.

Short Breaks run from Monday to Friday (4 nights) or Friday to Monday (3 nights).

I have holiday let accommodation since 1993 and have always enjoyed meeting and welcoming guests and offering them the best accommodation I possibly can.

I am a farmers wife and mother of 2 adult children, I love being outdoors, keeping fit and have recently taken up wild swimming in the nearby lochs in the Trossachs National Park.

Tigh Mor is near Stirling which is a beautiful, historic City in Central Scotland. This central location means we are a perfect base for touring. Edinburgh and Glasgow are within an hour by car or train. Tigh Mor itself is only a few minutes away from Blairdrummond Safari Park, 5 minutes from the village of Doune and also Deanston Distillery. We are on the cusp of the Trossachs National Park, with Loch Lomond around 40 minutes by car. A great location!

What makes this house unique

Tigh Mor is a stunning property, it is very spacious, has stunning panoramic views and great road links for the touring the area.

Guests often comment on spending time gazing out at the views and the local wildlife, deer, hares, pheasants....

Myself and my husband are only 10 minutes away should any problems arrive.

Great Vacation

We were impressed with the whole experience of this vacation. The reservation process and follow-up arrangements were easy to make, Eleanor was the best hostess we have ever had, and the facility left nothing to be desired. Even the weather cooperated.

We were particularly impressed by the cleanliness, size, and the supplies and equipment of the house. It is unusual to be able to write a review and not have at least one negative comment, but in this case everything was wonderful.

Eleanor welcomed us the first day and assured us that if there was anything she could do to make our stay better, she would be happy to oblige. She showed us a few things about the house and even came back later to bring us a video cord that we needed.

And finally, when I forgot and left a backpack when we departed she contacted me and offered to send it to me.

If you enjoy Scotland and want to stay in a central location with excellent service and facilities, go to Tigh Mor.

The property was clean and inviting. The setting was very beautiful and peaceful. The Stirling area has plenty of historical things to see and was also a great location to initiate day trips out of the area.

An ideal idyll!

Everything about Tigh Mor, from the beautiful house to the stunning views with deer, pheasant and hares to watch, to the very tasteful and relaxing decor was a hit with our group of 7 college friends from the 1970s. We can honestly say this was the best equipped house we've stayed in over the last 5 years and we'd love to go back. It's great for families or groups like ours and there are so many things to do within a short distance that it suits all ages. Dobbies garden centre is nearby - good shopping and lovely restaurant. Less than an hour to Loch Lomonds facilities and the Duck Bay Marina - fabulous food! Only 20 minutes to Dunblane and the Old Churches Retaurant, again lovely food. Roll on an excuse to return!! Thanks Eleanor for making everything so easy.

We had a perfect weekend in Tigh Mor. The house was exactly as we had imagined and even better! Nice, cosy, big and with everything we needed - the perfect base for day-trips in the area. Our host Eleanor Graham was very friendly and helpful both before and during our stay :)

Tigh Mor is walking distance to Blairdrummond Safari Park. Our nearest city, only 5 miles away is the Historic City of Stirling with it's iconic Stirling Castle, the National Wallace Monument and Battle of Bannockburn Heritage Centre. Falkirk Wheel and the Kelpies are only half an hour away. We are within easy access to the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Edinburgh our capital city and Glasgow or largest are both just under and hour away by car or you can choose to take a train from Stirling Station.
