I am a farmers wife and mother of 2 adult children, I love being outdoors, keeping fit and have recently taken up wild swimming in the nearby lochs in the Trossachs National Park.

Why Mrs Eleanor Graham chose Scotland

Tigh Mor is near Stirling which is a beautiful, historic City in Central Scotland. This central location means we are a perfect base for touring. Edinburgh and Glasgow are within an hour by car or train. Tigh Mor itself is only a few minutes away from Blairdrummond Safari Park, 5 minutes from the village of Doune and also Deanston Distillery. We are on the cusp of the Trossachs National Park, with Loch Lomond around 40 minutes by car. A great location!

What makes this house unique

Tigh Mor is a stunning property, it is very spacious, has stunning panoramic views and great road links for the touring the area.

Guests often comment on spending time gazing out at the views and the local wildlife, deer, hares, pheasants....

Myself and my husband are only 10 minutes away should any problems arrive.

An ideal idyll!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about Tigh Mor, from the beautiful house to the stunning views with deer, pheasant and hares to watch, to the very tasteful and relaxing decor was a hit with our group of 7 college friends from the 1970s. We can honestly say this was the best equipped house we've stayed in over the last 5 years and we'd love to go back. It's great for families or groups like ours and there are so many things to do within a short distance that it suits all ages. Dobbies garden centre is nearby - good shopping and lovely restaurant. Less than an hour to Loch Lomonds facilities and the Duck Bay Marina - fabulous food! Only 20 minutes to Dunblane and the Old Churches Retaurant, again lovely food. Roll on an excuse to return!! Thanks Eleanor for making everything so easy.

Lovely house, host and country!

We had a perfect weekend in Tigh Mor. The house was exactly as we had imagined and even better! Nice, cosy, big and with everything we needed - the perfect base for day-trips in the area. Our host Eleanor Graham was very friendly and helpful both before and during our stay :)

Tigh Mor - satisfied customers

  • 5 of 5

Tigh Mor may well be the nicest house we've stayed in - the welcome, the attention to details, the overall comfort, the beautiful serene surroundings - we spent a wonderful week there and hope to come back soon.

Few days in Scotland

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 9 days at Tigh Mor. If you are ever going to the Stirling, Scotland area and need a place to stay, this is a place that all 9 of us who stayed will agree. Tigh Mor or some other property of Eleanor Graham that might be available will be the place to stay if you possibly can. Words cannot not describe how beautiful the area is. The pictures cannot do it justice. We had 9 people, all slept comfortable, Mrs. Graham was such a gracious hostess. Before we arrived she had asked about how the bedrooms should be arranged. Had three double beds and one room with two single beds and one on a day bed. Three bedrooms with bath and one with bath a few steps away. When we arrived it was raining, she took us to where we were to stay. had food available if we should need it before we had a chance to shop. Cannot say enough about her. Thanks Eleanor Graham. Website was right on target about the place. Just Great!!!!!!!

It would be hard to say which of the activities we did , we enjoyed the most. We spent days visiting castles, old ruins, cathedrals, museums, spent a day touring Dublin, Ireland, Nessie and having my son and his wife of ten years who were married in Scotland renew their vows. Hard to describe.

Lovely cottage in ideal location

  • 5 of 5

Tigh Mor is an ideal base for exploring central Scotland - near enough to historic Stirling but also close enough to visit Callendar and the Trossachs. Plenty to see and do in the area, including the local wildlife - lions & tigers (in the nearby Safari Park).

The property is pristine - it wouldn't surprise if it had been recently renovated, it certainly looked new. Its well-equipped and the lounge is amazing, warmed by a log-burning stove. Really couldn't find fault at all. The owner, Eleanor, was very welcoming and helpful. We look forward to staying again!
