Luxurious stay in amazing surroundings!

  • 5 of 5

This place is absolutely amazing! We enjoyed three days in beautiful Porthallow.

The flat is spacious, lovely and it has everything that you would need while you stay there. We enjoyed the amazing view from the terrace. It is the perfect place to relax in calm and beautiful surroundings!

David made us feel very welcome and is very helpful with everything. We recommend this place highly. If you choose to stay here, treat yourself to a meal at the local pub, the food there is absolutely phenomenal. A trip to Falmouth is also recommended.

Thanks again David, we couldn't have asked for more!

Lovely views, clean and well-equipped apartment

  • 5 of 5

My partner, his parents and I had a lovely stay in this apartment in the peaceful, picturesque village of Porthallow (during the Easter holidays).

Despite a nightmare start (lots of rain and flooding in the village), the rest of our time was perfect! David was very kind in speaking to another resident who allowed us to park our second car in her space for the week as it was unoccupied. The welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee and biscuits was much appreciated.

The apartment balcony is lovely to sit out on (sea views) and we ate in the apartment most evenings (the kitchen is well equipped). The place is clean, spacious and pretty (with its nautical décor). We also made use of the washing facilities which meant we didn't need to do our washing when we returned home!

Porthallow itself is beautiful. We went for a lovely walk along the coastline from the beach, we bought fresh eggs from one of the locals and we also ate at the local pub (The Five Pilchards) which served lovely, fresh food with the catches of the day on their menu. Also don't miss out on another place around the corner (the Fat Apples Café) where we had the most amazing cake one afternoon and a full English breakfast on the morning we left.

Overall, this is a really lovely place to stay with friends or family and we would highly recommend it to others.

Lovely flat in an ideal location

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay here. Complimentary tea/coffee and milk was helpful on arrival. Having towels and bedding provided was a huge help. Only a short walk to the beach was lovely.

Perfect hideaway with stunning views.

  • 5 of 5

A welcome pack on arrival, tea, coffee, milk, and sugar. Home from home apartment with everything provided. It was a comfortable stay and a perfect hideaway from everyday living.

It little out of the way if you want to tour with no transport, transport is essential, so many places of interest, Poldark Mine, Caverack, Mullion, Helston boat lake, Menack Theatre, Falmouth.

Make sure you visit the five pilchards pub in the village but book first for food, the food was exceptional.

The accomadation no good if your disabled, there are a quite a few steps leading down to the apartment and a steep hill to climb if you have had a drink down the pub.

Some lovely walks in the area with national trust places nearby. I would recommend a stay here.

A lovely Cornish hideaway with a stunning view.

  • 5 of 5

We are a family of three and we spent the May half term week in this delightful accommodation. While compact, the apartment (it's more like a chalet, really) is extremely comfortable and clean with all necessary amenities - except a dishwasher! It was also great to be welcomed with a bottle of bubbly and a packet of biscuits! The TV took a bit of working out but David did provide copious notes on all aspects of the flat. The piece de resistance is undoubtedly the balcony with a fantastic, unobscured view down the valley to Porthallow beach and across the bay to Falmouth. Simply breathtaking.

Getting in and out of Porthallow involves driving through narrow, tree-lined lanes but there are plenty of passing places. St Keverne, two miles away is a small town with a well stocked shop and a hotel serving great coffee!

All in all, we could not have wished for a better location on the Lizard.

Fabulous. Peaceful. Away from it all.

  • 5 of 5

The property was small but big enough to not to be cramped. The owner left a supply of coffee, tea bags and milk which was a fabulous welcome especially as we got in very late after a 7 hour drive. The instructions on how to get to the flat was really helpful even though we arrived in the dark.

The flat was well equipped and clean and we didn't have any issues at all.

The balcony was large and seating comfortable. It got the morning sun so we sat out every morning to eat breakfast.

The village is small but has a great pub called the 5 Pilchards which served really good food but you would be advised to book in high season.

All in all a fabulous place to stay and we would highly recommend it.

Thanks David it was fabulous.
