Location,location,location! Our lovely duplex penthouse apartment is just 200 metres from the beach and minutes from the pedestrianised Mercadona plaza with its wide selection of international restaurants, banks, bars and cafes, many of which offer free wi-fi.
For us the jewel in the crown of the apartment is undoubtedly the beautiful terrace off the upstairs bedroom– very private and not overlooked - which offers panoramic sea views down to the mountains at the southern end of Mar Menor and over to La Manga.. You’ll love sitting on the terrace at night with a glass of wine under the stars enjoying the twinkling lights of the Mar Menor. For early risers you can catch romantic views of the sunrise over the sea. The terrace is furnished with table and 4 chairs, 2 sun beds and sun umbrella. You can also enjoy al-fresco dining on the downstairs terrace off the living room, where there is a table with 6 chairs and an awning to keep you cool in the summer. The upstairs terrace gets sun all morning and into the afternoon and the west facing downstairs terrace has sun in the afternoon/evening.
The apartment has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (two en-suite) so there is plenty of room for guests to spread out and have their own space if desired. The master bedroom has a double bed, the downstairs bedroom two single beds and the upstairs en-suite room 2 single beds. The striking red and white master bedroom has an en-suite full bathroom and superb sea views from the Juliet balcony. The apartment is painted in cool white throughout with different accents of colour in each of the rooms. There is a flat screen TV in the living-room with UK and SpanishTV channels and a DVD player. The upstairs bedroom has a TV with Spanish channels and the master bedroom a wall-mounted flat-screen TV showing Spanish channels.
The compact but sociable American-style kitchen is fully-equipped with cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and washing machine. There are air-con /heating units in the lounge/diner, master bedroom and upstairs bedroom and a ceiling fan in the third bedroom. There is an extra heater in the living room for cooler winter nights.
Due to the fact that our apartment is on the second floor with no lift, we wouldn’t consider it suitable for people with walking difficulties. Also there is a steep staircase up to the upstairs bedroom, which we feel would be unsuitable for young children and older people with mobility difficulties.
Please note this is a non-smoking property and not suitable for pets.
Also unfortunately we do not have anywhere to store bicycles so if you rent, we would advise you to rent from a nearby shop so that you can return the bikes at the end of each day for safe storage.
