For the kids, trampoline, table tennis and badminton
We just came back from our vacation with spending our last week in Opio. The house is a gem, superbly designed, an exquisite garden and a wonderful pool. Our four kids played table tennis, badminton and jumped on the trampoline - but stayed in the large pool most of the time. The owners, David and Leanne, really did a marvellous job to rebuild/redesign it. We did not rent the smaller house on the property, but this is a great opportunity for two families - with enough space, close together but with enough privacy. We felt very welcome and a friendly reception by property manager Ethel. Away from it all and yet close by to Cannes, Nice and Valbonne. We truly had a great vacation!
We enjoyed a wonderful stay in your Petite Maison with those comfy queen beds, private en suites, superb kitchen and cozy fireplace. It was great being able to get to the Cote d' Azur so quickly for more fine dining, shopping and the action there, but it was (the surprise) of having so much to do in the quaint villages surrounding La Feniere that kept us close to your magnificent little treasure in the hills. In fact, one of my fondest memories will be the reading and relaxation we finally got to do at your villa, by the beautiful (& heated!) swimming pool, and from those secluded little terraces along the pathways throughout your gorgeous gardens, We have traveled extensively but this has been one of our favorite destinations ever! We appreciated the privacy and gracious hospitality, and we WILL be back. Thanks again M. and Mme. Rudier.
We spent a week at La Feniere and while we had plans to visit the area we ended up spending most of our time just enjoying this place. The design, inside and out, is exceptional. You’re 20 minutes from all the sights and the charming village next door, Valbonne, is a hidden treasure.
The house itself is a design dream, each space is luxurious but well thought out and created to be enjoyed. All of the bedrooms have the facilities of a five star hotel and you instantly feel at home. The kitchen/living room/terrace space is where we lived. We loved cooking and enjoying wine on the terrace with the evening light coming through the trees and fresh air.
The house is surrounded by trees giving the feeling of total privacy but perched on a hillside so you have views of the valley. The property itself is nothing short of Versailles: there is an array of little garden terraces to enjoy your morning coffee (take your pick, there are enough spots to last you a week) and the pool allows you to enjoy a full days sun in stunning surroundings. You can really spend days on end soaking in “la bonne vie”!
We’ve stay at rentals before but this house, by far, was the most enjoyable we’ve ever stayed in. Go, enjoy, but be prepared to change your plans if you have a busy sightseeing schedule, you might not leave the gates.
We spent our summer holiday in July/August 2015 here, 11 nights. 6 adults and 5 children from the age of 16 to 1 year old. We just loved this place all of us, and we where all sad when we had to leave. The house and the guest house is fantastic. The garden, pool area and the property as well. Just spending the days by the pool, having dinner i the evenings at the terrace.. The location is also perfect for daily excursion to Gourdon, Nice, Cannes, Valbonne etc. It´s also nice to walk to the bakery in the morning or just walk around in the quiet neighborhood. We would absolutely recommend this place. You won´t regret it :)
The Cote d'Azur is renowned for it hundreds of restaurants, ports, bays, casinos and that special ambiance of mixed serene seascape/coastal scenery and mountains which legendary weather, wines and culinary delights. On the Cote d'Azur, there is something special for all tastes and most pockets. It is not just the high life, glaze and glamour, it is the resort of artists, lovers of life and Provencale village, a wonderful area for pony trekking/walks in the hills over-looking the coast and sun-worshiping.
