My husband and I are retired educators. I enjoy spending my time baking, canning, crafting, and working outside. My husband Jamie enjoys hunting deer and turkey and keeping the farm in good shape. His favorite pastime is helping our neighbor when it is time to bale hay. We are both very active in our local church.

Why they chose this property

As we neared retirement we decided the city just wasn't where we wanted to spend our time. We set out looking for property that had potential, but needed a little TLC. We found just the right place...a place we call Pine Oaks Farm. We've put in a lot of work clearing the site for our home and making improvements on the property. In 2013, we built a barn and stayed in a camper when we came to the farm on weekends. The following year, we sold the camper, constructed The Bunkhouse in the barn, and lived there for the next 2 1/2 years. Following the completion of our house in 2017, we vacated The Bunkhouse. Now we are looking for other people that might enjoy a slice of our paradise on a temporary basis.

What makes this property unique

I have 5 years experience managing a VRBO property, so I know what it takes to make the relationship between an owner and traveler a good one. I look forward to making new friendships and welcoming travelers to our former home.
